Put the fan infront of the filter at the start and push air through the lights. You get the added benefit of not having the hot air passing through the fan, some say your fan will be fine if you have it after the lights but better to be safe than sorry. Also you will have less smell because if there are any leaks in the hoods or ducting the air will be pushed out rather than pulled in.

Also make sure your filter is placed at the top of your tent or room so you are pulling hot air rather than the slightly cooler air at the bottom of the floor.

yes that would work. I do that with 4 lights in a row. one is a 1000, the rest are 600's. Dont listen to this dude^^. You always want the fan at the end, pulling. The fans are made to handle the temperatures and usually have 5 year warrantys.

The only disadvantage is if your hoods leak at all, you will have some odor in the output. The solution is to seal the hoods better.

the first thing in your chain should always be your filter can... they are designed to be pulled through. filter can - lights - fan - out. FACT

I appreciate everyones input! From what I have learned Fan goes last, so I'm going to stick with that. I was just worried about, if the 8" would be enough to cool the 2x 600w'ers inline with each other... Since i'm pulling air, hot air from From the (ToP) of the room will go through the filters, through the first cool tube, will this hot air (from the first tube) negatively effect the second inline that it passes through before being pushed out the tent by the line?
