I am growing my first plant this year and it is an outdoor plant. I was wondering around when would it be time to harvest? Mid September?

if its a photoperiod then anytime from mid sept to mid end of oct...watch out for foxtailing and mould and keep them well fed and watered if you have lots of sun

Is there anything I should buy for when I dry to prevent mold?

yes but no, what u need its a dehumidifier or couple of fans
