GSP by UD is my guess.

Hard one to call on Mir /Carwin.It wil be interesting to see Carwin's wrestling strength on the ground versus Mir's ju jitsui

gsp no doubt. guy is the ultimate professional.
it will be a re-run of sanchez v penn - ultimate domination

also very keen for mir v carwin.
mir has been bulking up hard for a while now & his standup has been constantly improving his last few fights.. interested to see his development.
would love to see him knock out carwin then take on brock again - if brock regains the strength he possessed before his illness i have no doubt he will slaughter mir again...

my jiu-jitsu is strong.

Never seen a Hardy fight... But I've seen plenty of GSP fights!

GSP FTW.

Better question - whose next in line after Hardy? And when the fuck are we gonna see a Silva v. Machida fight?!

If he does catch GSP with a punch,it won't be like the Serra punch which caught GSP behind the ear.It was GSP's own fault for getting hit behind his ear and fucking up his balance for the rest of the 30 seconds or so of the fight. He learned from that one thing and will remember it forever.

I'm not saying the rooster won't catch GSP with a power shot.He probably will and with more than 1.Alves caught him with a few.He recovered fine.It will just be straight on to his face or jaw.GSP has a tougher face than most people give him credit for.

Although I give odds to gsp, Hardy as always has a puncher's advantage. GSP can't really take hard hits. All Hardy needs to do is catch GSP once the right way and it's ALLLL OVER! (said with the Mike Goldberg inflection).

Right now the line has Hardy almost a 6 to 1 dog with GSP 1 to 8 favorite. That's a huge spread for a title fight IMO.

One question I have is where does this "GSP can't take punches or has a weak jaw" come from.

Yeah he got rocked with a punch behind the ear from Serra. Then Serra hit him many times after until the fight was stopped.

I don't recall ever seeing him rocked badly from getting hit exept for the Serra fight. He got hit hard a few times in the Alves fight.

Getting TKO'd once in your 6 year MMA career ain't to shabby.

I'm not saying he has a glass jaw but maybe just suspect. He definitely doesn't like getting hit in the head. It seems to shake him up more than other fighters.
I wouldn't mind seeing Hardy take this one, he's definitely a colorful guy and would be fun to have him champion for a stretch. Plus, I can make so much more betting on the dog.

No fighter likes getting hit. Well maybe leben.I don't find he reacts differently from other fighters after recieving a strike to the face.Thats just my opinion.

Many people don't enjoy GSP's style.Somewhat boring, but those elbows are fun to watch.
Greg jackson prepared Rashad's last fight with Thiago to the same style as GSP only more boring because Rashad didn't ground and pound like GSP can do.He just layed on him.Got the boring win though.

I honestly don't think Hardy can knock out GSP with that one punch. Definitely a follow up flurry of punches though if he smells blood. He will have to rock GSP very badly.A rocked GSP can easily still have superb takedowns.

I agree, he is well-trained, conditioned, and an excellent technical fighter. That said, Hardy has a puncher's chance.
Maybe it's GSP's French accent..

I disagree. There are many fighters with a strong chin besides Leban. Look at Carwin who got rocked by Gonzaga and came back to KO. Mark Hunt, Rampage, Wanderlei Silva, Sakarai, Sylvia, Henderson, Fedor, Fujita, Nog, Gomi, Cabbage, in no particular order, all have taken hard blows to the head and none appear to shy away from them as much as GSP.

Are you saying that when you get hit and rocked, you shouldn't shy away and turn it into a brawl?
Not a good game plan considered by some fans, fghters or trainers.
Most fighters are told and trained to go on the defense rather than throw strikes out of desperation ,although it works occasionally and awsome to watch. There's nothing as fun as watching a great mma comeback fight.

The Leben statement was a joke. He's even learning to be more elusive though.

What are you talking about strategy for? I'm talking about who has a chin and who doesn't. I don't think GSP has shown he has a glass jaw but I do agree with Hardy's camp that his chin is his weakness.
