As soon as I placed a seed in some water it sank. A good sign. I put it in a very warm area to speed up germination and a few minutes later it was floating. Did I kill the poor seed? :(

After you have soaked the seed, say overnight, remove it and place it on a damp paper towel if you do that method, or simply put it in a solo cup with some germinating mix, which is what I do. I find it very unlikely that you destroyed you seed. Good luck

No you didn't kill it. once the seed takes on water it'll drop again (sometimes I poke them to see if they will sink). Once it sinks, it's like above said, paper towel it and boom she should pop.

It actually sunk again without me poking it, sweet. Thanks guys. Going to try the paper towel method. Usually just leave em in water.
