Most if not all meters now use aluminium wheels. Perhaps it may slow the gearing. thats if they havent been changed out to digital..

12 quid to run a 1k for 12 hours? Did i read that right? I know theres a surge in prices because of Putin's war but jesus christ.
No it's £12 a day for 2×1000w and I think Jesus is on the same tariff

that's why you buy good leds and run a minimalist type setup! Been growing since long before prohibition lifted. Better off paying now than later, just my opinion. No way is hydro for 12 hours going to cost that much! Think smaller than 10 megawatt grow. 1 plant 1 light and a big fan. Can do a 4x4 for a 600w light and a fan. I found space was an issue in 6'8" tent! Have breathing room now! l use a boxfan in front of tent when lights on. A 4x4 for 12000 watts a day seems like a deal to me. Could always buy an old lathe and drillpress and suit up garage as a shop in case power company comes around. All those old 220 volt motors. They can suck powerup. Say your up building shit all night. I always run flower 7 pm to 7 am. As hydro off hours. Fans run 24 hrs. Not knocking you but I'm poor and pay my hydro! Best of luck!

I'm not broke I've got 2× Adjust A wing hellion vs3 1000w ( parafactwork) it's just the price per kilowatt is going to be £0.54 the UK are just getting ripped off beyond belief energy companies posting billions of pounds worth of profit but telling us there is an energy crisis so we are the ones who have to pay

It works for sure. I know a few people that do it.
Years ago people used to drill a small hole in bottom of the meter and shoved a hair clip up to stop the wheel turning.
I've removed the main fuse security tags to replace my consumer unit in the house and the meter reader man reported me and the company sent an engineer out who checked to see if I was stealing juice, I wasn't. He gave me a warning not to tamper with the company's property. I said I hadn't realised I was doing anything wrong.
Next time I took off the security tags I got new ones off eBay to replace them.
My meter was changed in November to a new digital one and there are tamper proof seals on it now
