have you noticed that all the americans have all this amazing gear on sale so cheaply,
where hear in the uk evrything is a fker to find, even finiding simple lighting systems is a task, and when u do find them you have to fork out top dolar for them.

Sorry, but I disagree. Near me is an excellent hydro shop with very competitive prices and offers. The things the US growers do get a lot cheaper are small Cfls but thats about it.

I ordered my lights from Ebay, I got 2x 150watt Envirolites one red one blue, a reflector and height adjusting cords for £58. delivered to Ireland from the UK(fastlighting in Basingstoke,). And got all my pumps, growers tubing airstones, fan, basically everything else from BnQ, and my local pet shop.

Then was in town last week and found there where 2 hydroshops that had the lot. But a hell of a lot more expensive.

2nd poster is a super exception. All the hydro shops here are well over priced and much more compared to places like HTG in america. In the UK HPS flood lights cost so much and so does all the lighting. Its a fact we live in a very very exspensive country. BUt i think the ballasts and stuff cost so much here because of our voltage??? or i could be wrong. Maybe just coz we are such a small and rich country things have to be priced well. But yeah deffo GETS ON MY NERVES HOW THEY CAN JUST GO TO LOWES OR HOME DEPOT TO GET HIGH WATTAGE CFLS LIKE 65WATTS AND STUFF OR GET HPS FROM HTG SUPPLY FOR LIKE UNDER 50 QUID FOR 250WATTS AND STUFF INSANE!

I completely agree. Forking out for grow stuff here is alot harder it seems on my cash.

But it is easier for us to get seeds? Etc.

I guess you win some, you lose some.

Mate your from london. Do you know any good hydro shops or shit in london???? ive looked briefly but it all seems to be far out. Im a bit skepty as to order online id rather pay cash.

i order mostly on line so im not to sure on local london places but growell do have a shop in fulham if thats helpfull

In Cali it's crazy. There are hydro stores everywhere and there are dispenseries all over the place. There are over 300 in LA alone.

And in terms of seeds? Haha why would we want seeds when we have elite female clones on sale everywhere for 10 dollars? Some of us pop seeds just for the novelty of trying it but mostly we stick to clones here. And they are amazing world class strains. The kind they don't have in Europe. We don't do much all that well anymore in the states, but one thing we do - we grow the best medical weed on the planet.

Its a big call saying that the strains in the US are the best, not saying they're not but the seeds we have access to in the UK, which is what you would want to start a mother (IMO) because from clones the plants degrade and develope mutations after about 20 generations, came from some of the greatest and world famouse strains in Amsterdam. Now where would I put my money for the best strains ???? Amsterdam ??? or Cali ???
