Sorry if this is posted in wrong section...

For those of you unfortunate to be living in the UK, be sure to tune in to watch what is most-likely to be more bullshit propaganda on BBC2 tonight at 9pm.

Horizon: Cannabis: The Evil Weed?
Tuesday 03 February
9:00pm - 10:00pm
BBC2

Cannabis is the world's favourite drug, but also one of the least well understood. Can cannabis cause schizophrenia? Is it addictive? Can it lead you on to harder drugs? Or is it simply a herb, an undervalued medicine? Addiction specialist Dr John Marsden discovers that modern science is finally beginning to find answers to these questions. John traces the cannabis plants birthplace in Kazakhstan; finds the origins of our sensitivity to cannabis in the simple sea-squirt; and finds out just what it does to our brains.

As we know, the BBC and UK government have close ties, and with the reclassification, I expect them to bang on about
schizophrenia and the immense dangers involved in smoking the ALL NEW ALL POWERFUL SUPER-MEGA-AWESOME-SKUNK that is 'proven' to be 10 times stronger than the 'stuff you used to smoke in the 60/70s'. Be prepared to write emails containing actual facts and real statistics, complaining directly to the BBC. CC Jacqui Smith as you call bullshit on the whole thing.

If this turns out, by some miracle to be factual and unbiased (firstly, I'll eat my own face,) then also be prepared to praise accordingly :)

i will complain if its just negative propaganda, you just got to make sure what is fact and what is opinion, then if they say 'its a fact that you go green if you smoke more than bla bla bla' you can say 'er, no, fook aff, that's bullshit' and state your case(in queens english of course, to make yourself sound clever)

LOL, indeed, making ones' self sound clever, does help.

Yes exactly, thats all we need - just some people that claim to know better, and demand the real truth be told. I'm sure it'll be like a drop in the ocean to them, but we should let them know we're still here and thoroughly disprove of lies, especially in what is one of the highest profile documentary shows the BBC air.

I lived in England for 8 months when they were trying to move weed from a class C drug to Class A with cocaine. The media are super duper sensationalist, bigger than any newspaper I've seen in the U.S. The grab anything in order get people stirred up. The were linking marijuana to crazy people and murders etc, etc. They had tv specials and everything. England is a teribble, terrible place to live for many reasons, this is only one.

I like England, generally.

fortunately i live out in the countryside, i can't stand urban areas much.

but i must admit, the government/media etc. have been really getting to me lately.

OMG THIS IS PISSING ME OFF NOW
theres a bit saying thc effects being skitz or sumin about memory, testing thc on rats, and it has to swim to find a platform,to test it they do it in a white big tub, and it has to swim in white water, so everything is white and looks the same, and the fucking whore woman says 'oh its having trouble finding the platform' THATS BECAUSE EVERYTHING LOOKS THE FUCKING SAME ITS ALL WHITE.

I told you. and this is the BBC one of the more "stable" news sources. You should see what the the Daily Mail and News of the World come up with. They take it upon themselves to appeal to people's fears. News?! who needs news?

ITV rules!

well watched it, it wont kill us and is unlikely to ruin our lives, so leave me and my plants alone, and go and solve some real crime.
