im from dorset and you could use a greenhouse mate with a heater for the winter months and as for the light add a cfl to suppliment light..i have a outdoor growing now..

really, what about with no suplimented light? i will be able to heat a greenhouse but it has no power so lighting isnt possible, unless LED's can be run off of a battery?

i cannot get power to my greenhouse because it is a guerilla setup, away from my house. how about autos? any strains that can still do well with low light levels?

Autos still need SOME light, indoors people have them running on 24 hours a day. The days are pretty short now there so it'd be less likely for them to grow to a decent size. Try leds with a big ass battery.

Ive been looking into this now and i rekon i can do it :), have been researching using solar panels to keep batteries charged ( have no car to recharge at the mo). i am going to build a simple green house/ polytunnel about 5m x 2m floor space, have the roof angled toward the front to collect rain water, i havent looked into heating yet, any1 have any DIY suggestions on heating? as for supp lighting so far im focusing on LED's, but is there any other types lighting that i will be able to run off of car batteries? I read somewhere about plans for a fairly simple ballast for up to 50w HID bulbs and runs on 12v dc?? will try and post the link up here.

ye man will do, wont see much for a while yet though lol, gonna be alota planning i think, hoping to start building in a month or so. It will be in a very secure place so i will prolly end up using the house all year round, and use the lights when needed.
