12 hour darkness is needed for flowering so It's best to find some place where you can control the light. One thing is important though, get more light. weed gets leggy if not enough light is provided. CFL's would help. for now, use the sun if you can safely do so.

I have seen some use clip on lights from home depot and just clip them on to the hood. get the largest cfl the lamp will hold. actual watts only. Add one or two and it would make a difference. something to add to your list.

ok cool i definitely have alot of cfl's laying around here.

so while in the seeding stage should the AG light be on all day?

yes seedlings can benefit from up to 24 hours of light a day all the way through veg until flowering. You would want to start flowering when the plant is no more than 6 inches tall. it grows three times its size in flowering.

Oh yeah, Do not think you can grow 6 large plants in an aerogarden, With tomatoes i limit it to two plants because of space issues.

okay thanks and I currently have 3 seedlings growing in the aerogarden right now..hopefully all goes well.

i'm subbed for this grow. You can check out my grow, the link is in my sig. I update it every few days, I'm currently working on cooling issues, going to switch lightproof techniques and see if that makes a difference.

Awesome, I'm subbed into yours as well..the more knowledge i can gain the better :bigjoint:

quick question: how do you know when to switch lighting from seedling to veg lighting?

I personally set the light to veg from the get go. I have three plants that have come up and are in various stages from seedling to veg. They all get the same light, right now 24 hours a day.

So how has progress been? I'm thinking about getting a spacesaver 6 too but I been tryna figure out if there are any specific aerogardens that I should be looking at for this grow project. Any suggestions or recommendations?
