Undecided on equipment 2 - 600w or 1 - 1000w both for a light mover

I'm trying to find the ideal equipment for a perpetual grow with a veg room and a flower room. I'm having trouble deciphering truths from fiction when it comes to what's best. I heard lumatek is the best from one place and that lumatek burns out bulbs mega fast from another place. I want to use a light mover with either 2 600w lights or 1 1000w light in my flower room but I'm undecided on what's best . I want to use a 400w blue eye metal halide for the veg. Ushio looks good to me only bc hortilux scare me as well as lumatek ballasts. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I have a harvest under my belt with a magnetic ballast 1000w. I just need some insite from people with proven results on how to go about achieving my goals. PLEASE & THANK YOU

Lumatek is a great product...anyone can have a bad experience. Some bulbs will burn out prematurely if not recommended for use in certain ballasts. If you want other good reliable ballasts...SOLIS TEK and Phantom...very low failure rate. As far as the light wattage...600watts covers a 4x4 area and a 1000 watter covers a 5x5 area. Hope this helps

I would always choose two 600s over 1000. Lots more lumens but what really does it for me is the better coverage. Hope it helps. Good luck - and both choices kick ass.

Horti eye bulb have blown for me prematurely. I bought from hydrostore. used 2 months and blew it. I called hortilux told them I had galaxy ballast 1000 watt and they say they will warranty it this once but there made for magnetic ballast not digital. I have used digilux bulb and never had 1 problem with them even the cheaper digilux seller. They sell the 1000 watt for like 60 dollars

id do two movers and alternate them so they are more effective for horizontal. One at each end going towards eachother, spaced apart as to not over-saturate the plants with light but to spread and "use up" as much as possible
