Under Attack!!!

I have been under attack for over 2 months now. They are really small black flying creatures from hell. They leave leaves chewed, discolored, curled in all directions. I have been spraying garden with Bug Buster-0 which contains pyrethrins and I hung fly catchers that seem to work well. They will not go away! Any other suggestions?

on the same boat as you ....got those damn black gnats on my plants too just pick up those sticky ribbons that come in a 4 pack..... think there about 99 cents and work well ......:joint:

MG Organic has always gotten gnats. I would just consider switching soils next grow. Til then just throw up sticky's they'll get quite a few of em.

eg completely gutted to bare bone. B16a2, GSR cams, Mugen LSD and Clutch, Garret GT7821 ball bearing, 10.5 psi, 3" custom exhaust, bout 300hp. It's fast. I want to sell it though. I also have a 03 TL I wanna sell too. I want to get a TSX and boost it so I have luxary and speed all in one nice honda package!

I used Schultz garden safe fruit and vegetable insect spray...I had a lot cuz of miracle grow...now I see one every week or two...and I spray those bastards again.

have you tried a larvicide to stop the life cycle of the gnats?

Misquito dunks, gnatrol, or many other remidies are out there

I just put dishes of molasses and water around my grow room.
They fly in to get the sugar and never get out again.
They eradicate themselves completely within weeks.
Worked for me anyway:blsmoke:

had same problem last grow.

Sorted it by dosing the plants with Gnat Off to kill the larvae, and hanging some sticky traps for the adults -gone within 5 days.

Larvae can cause serious problems to the root mass unfortunately.

Also helps to cover the surface of your pots with sand or clay pebbles.

I have been spraying a lot. I have been using stickys and Gnatrol. Hopefully they will be gone forever soon!

I like Nat's idea best. Sounds the most natural. Id rather kill each fly individually then risk tainting the buds with pesticides.Maybe get yourself some ladybugs or frogs :D.

I got the miracle grow potting mix...i get a bug once in a while, but if you let the soil dry out till its crusty on top i havent had any problems...the like the moist damp places, if you keep it on the dry side before you water you dont get as many....and squish them if you see one...there not to fast..
