also if i have 5 12 gallon buckets do i need a resi still?
I have an undercurrent setup with (5) 5 gallon buckets and 1 of them is used as the reservoir. I am not 100% sure that this is necessary but it is how the system came. I think it may just make working and maintaining the system easier rather than it being 100% necessary but trust me when I say you do NOT want to picking up your 4 foot tall monster plants every time you have to take a PH or PPM reading, or to add water.

lol. my first grow was dwc, i had a 5' tall plant in a 7 gallon round bucket. I hated lifting it, I switched it to a a ebb and flow before i was finished. But that one bag seed plant yielded 8 ounces. thats why i like dwc. I only ask about the resi, is because Current culture recommends a 40 gallon resi for a 4 x 8 gallon system. i wasnt sure if that was additional to the main resi return bucket.
