Undried Buds & Green Dragon

There's alot of conflicting information about whether you can or can't use undried, freshly harvested buds for Green Dragon. I'm going by the Master Wu recipe which calls for heating the plant in the oven then putting the weed and alcohol in a heat bath for 20 minutes or so.

Can I use freshly picked stuff or should I dry it out first?
If so, do I still heat the weed in the oven?

Any help would be appreciated.

The actual resin trichomes will not be at their best for consumption, as you should let your bud dry/cure for AT LEAST a week, although personally before I use any part of the plant I like to give it at least 2 before i feel it's at a decent stage, although to properly and completely cure bud it will take 4+ weeks.

If you are just extracting trichomes from leaves/trim with a screen or ice water method after a couple days they'll be dry enough that you'll get the trichs to fall off easier, but in an alcohol solution the reaction is purely chemical so you shouldnt have to much of a problem removing the resin.

personally id say dry them before doing so, but ive never used alcohol extraction so im not exactly an expert on it.
