Unfortunate Cloudy & Rainy Weather in California

Okay, I currently have 1 plant that is already 4 days old and growing outdoors. 5 more seedlings have finally germinated completely after 2 days. My plan was to plant them all in their own pots, but the weather all this week, up until Saturday, will be cloudy with scattered showers & thunderstorms.

My question is, being that all my seedlings have finally germinated successfully and are ready to be planted, will it be a problem if I wait until this Saturday, 3 more days from now, to plant them in soil? I don't want to plant them if there is no light on the pots and get a negative impact on my seedlings. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated! :peace:

your plants benefit more when you transplant on a cloudy or overcast day cuz new transplants are noticeably stressed by direct sun light so I'd say transplant on friday or saturday when it's still a little overcast then the plants have more time of acclimating to their new homes. I plan on transplanting my other 6 clones on thursday or friday for reduced stress on them.
hope this helps and good luck

Thank you for your help, notoriousb. What you suggested makes great sense. I will go ahead and wait until the overcast Friday or Saturday. Your explanation is much appreciated! :peace::joint::hump:

Yes, whenever possible I always try to get my seedlings in the ground the day before a 2 or 3 day spell of rainy weather. That's ideal. Gives the plants a couple of days of bright but indirect light, the rain makes sure they've got enough moisture to tide them over while their root systems are starting to spread into the surrounding soil, and the rain helps settle the soil more uniformly around the cocofiber or peat pots, or the rockwool cubes, or whatever medium you're transplanting. Typically, no matter how carefully you place the plant in its new hole, it's not uncommon to have some air voids that can inhibit the growth of new roots that are trying to grow through the voids. A good, steady rain will usually cause loose soil to settle down into those voids, promoting healthier root growth.
