Now you have a tester. For grins you should check the Vivosun and see if it is off.
Now you can slurry test and see if pH is whack. That is important but so is EC. Check those numbers and use the guide if anything needs done. Post back how it grows.

I was going to suggest the drops.
Rainwater usually tests below 7 ph. It is only in rare locations in the world where rainwater tests above 7.
The drops will give you a more accurate result.
My main fear was that he had tested it with bad data and adjusted it down to ph4. Now we can find out.
The other thing is that if it was strait water even so far out it is not the end of the world. Water due to its limited count of +- ions that can actually move around can not actually gank pH in soil very far. A nute mix with salt at ph10 is way different than a gallon of water at ph10.
Most older experience growers do not worry about water pH until nutes are added. I check it because it gets you in the habit and an extended vacation for pH equipment can cause issues if not stored properly.

I compared. It was way off, although I calibrated just before hand. The rain water was closer to 7 on the lower end from what I saw with the drops. I was scared because I saw a lot of algae against the walls of the drums” confirming the high ph in my head”
My tap water is a high 8ph and I was watering with that before I started with the rain water. But when I switched to rain water is when I started to see the yellow leaves. But y’all were right so thanks for getting on my behind about the ph pen hahah
I hope this grow is just as good as my first time it was a great feeling at the end seeing my hard work. Although I don’t smoke anymore I really enjoy plants!

My soil ph was alkaline in a slurry test like my 3 way soil meter said. I did tap water with kelp and alfalfa tea about a week ago. Should I skip feeding since they weren’t able to absorb any of the nutrients due to the bad ph. Also I’m doing all organic
Worm castings
Kelp meal
Alfalfa meal
Blood meal
Banana peel tea
Fish emulsion
Molasses
Powdered egg shells
Anything else suggested?

I can not recommend anything else because I run my organics different. I top dress FF soil and during flower I use a complete nutrition nute mix.
Perhaps soil builders can chime in. I could recommend a booster of Humic Acid type component to help restart the bio bloom for all those nutes to get broken down into fuel.
