More likely than not, this will be a no big deal situation. I wouldn't have gone on nuclear to destroy everything, I would have gotten everything out of there whether to a friends or relatives house or simply a storage locker under someone else's name. If they really want to arrest you they were already done it.

Lying to a post office official is a federal crime so is shipping drugs in the mail. Hopefully your sender used common sense and hasn't been using the same shipping addresses and names to send to you. You do know the post office has a database of every single piece of mail it goes through the system, and they can/will use it. Don't avoid calling the post office official, get in touch, play stupid, stick to your fucking script.

Sometimes they'll let packages go through to get you on larger amounts when they do bust you. But they usually come with a squad of jackboots not a letter then.

Friends that have worked for both fedex and ups have mentioned this before so I certainly believe it.

Your second point is spot on. If his main goal is to not go to jail and not lose his wife, he is doing his best to do just that. Priorities simply seem fucked the more he posts. Don't want to lose your wife, the thing you state is most important to you, should reflect one's choices. Sticking your dick in strange, maintaining a hidden drug problem, and comitting felony mail trafficking certainly doesn't reflect the stated value of his wife being the most important to him. It isn't easy, I'm not trying to be a dick, but sometimes one has to hear the truth. It isn't necessarily easy, but its certainly doable.

As someone else said, clean your house, do it once only but be careful, if you have been being watched, this letter is a flushing tactic. your rights are 100 times more powerful in your home than in your car. If there is a chance you are being watched, that one trip will be the one that gets you - they will find a headlight out or a tag problem or something and can legaly get a dog to sniff out a car when they never had probable cause to do so with your house. if this is a small town and these cops are interested they may well spend some man power and time on you, but remember that yours is a Federal beef and they might call in the experts.

This is why you make appointments with lawyers, never, ever try to save money by waiting (as duck said). Most lawyers will give free consultations anyway although I don't know what the confidentiality laws are if you have not retained counsul. You can still get an idea of what you are up against and do as the others say, take a deep breath and plot a course. The clean house is for your own mental state but remember what I said, they DO flush people out into the open with these sorts of things.

I know a guy who was cooking exotics and he got a scare letter about some chems he was purchasing. He packed up all of his glass and went on a trip - he loved his glass, of course the cops never had PC to search or enter his home but they did his car.

RIU moderators. It would be much helpful if you delted this thread and the other about the intercepted package, I do not want any incriminating evidence. Please do so, there's not much else I can ask for but this is pretty important to me.

I guess I did freak out a little too hard with destroying over 2 thousand dollars worth of equipment and my laptop but then again I am trying to avoid another Felony..

I'm going to fill you guys in on what is happening but it would still be much appreciated if the mods can take these 2 theads down.
I called the Postal Inspector and asked him what this was about and said that there have been many coast to coast packages being sent my adress and the latest one was seized and contained marijuna. (Cali to VA)
I told them that I have no clue what he is talking about and acted as if I was 100% shocked and he told me that there has been 7 packages that have mailed from California to my adress within the last 8-12 months and still asked if there was anything I wanted to tell him and that if I do he's obligated to make srue of a lesser sanctunaiory or something dumb like that and I still kept to my side and admitted nothing. He then said that he would be in touch.

I'm going to take a break from everything for a while and just chill out. I don't want to go to prison after all.

Who is keeping track of packages sent FROM a location TO an address? Why is California some sort of suspect state? Aren't there apple a month clubs? date a month clubs? I know there are cigar a month clubs - do they keep track of those as well?

Just because someone sent you something doesn't mean you "know" about the package.

RIU does not regularly delete posts. KNOW THAT IN ADVANCE. Nice folks but they are assumedly making a buck with this site and a part of that is information spread to the public via most searches. If what you post is in the past, if what you post is small potatoes (to quote the God Father [and my father]) then so be it, I doubt anyone is going to chase after you but you must always watch what you say, as it is pretty permenent. No offence to the site, that is the way things are (it would be nice if they posted a disclaimer but then again, if you can't percieve what goes on in the internet world then.... welll.....

There are several regions of defense in the legal world. First is just shutting the fuck up - but that isn't much fun. Second is hiding behind the fact that you ARE small, no Fed will waste their time and resources, third is posting about things past, experiences, has happened, old events - statute of limitations things, and in there somewhere is anonymous posting behind off shore servers. Continuously shipping Federaly controled substances could easily raise the ire of the folks in charge, they can't let that continue and will as likely as not make an example.

The final barricade is your legal and constitutional rights - great, fine, this is America, but your excercising your rights cost money. LEO, and FEDs are going to push the envelope, and you need a lawyer to push back - never, EVER rely upon your supposed Constitutional rights. Firstly, it is nearly a full time job to keep up with them and their diminishment, secondly, you can't just figure that LEO is going to abide by the same rules you figure are your protection.

It is fun to talk about things past, it is a public service (I think) to give folks the real scoop on drugs, you aren't going to get that from any anti - drug site and you will find lots of people warning you on this chemical or that. I like to think that maybe we have saved a life, either technicly or actualy by telling the TRUTH about te chemicals folks are going to imbibe anyway, but no everyone looks at it that way.

Were I a LEO, I would read this stuff every day if for no other reason then to see trends, were I a compassionate LEO (they exist) then I like to think that they encourage such discussions. I would love to see the LEO lurkers post as such and hear their side of things but I doubt they are going to come out from the shadows. I don't think anything could be more productive than them comming out and stating their point of view, but most of them still maintain the "good guy", "bad guy" mentality and those figure we are the "bad guys". One day all this will change and harm reduction wlll be the order of the day, to change a quote by a presidential candidate - how would you feel if you were the last victim of the war on drugs?

A close friend of mine was sent 2lbs from Cali, they received the package with the tape and a note on it saying that they would be contacted soon. Officiers came to their house ( I forgot if they were Feds or locals) and questioned them. They just played dumb and denied everything. The return address was phoney plus they were not growing, but the Officiers did not search their house. I'm not saying this is what they'll do with you, just sharing an experience. This happened a little more than a year ago. Package was mailed to the mid-west.
