Unknown seedling problems

What type of store would I go to to find what you're talking about? The only thing my local Walmart has is the pool pH testers, soil pH meter things and pH strips but the strips are ridiculously overpriced. I'd love to get a digital one but I haven't been able to find one. I might have to just order one online this weekend but what could I do in the meantime to try and improve growth?

Your local hydroponics store will have a couple I'm sure. Don't wait for shipping- just pay the extra couple of bucks and support a local retailer ;)

ask them for a recommendation. If you aren't in a legal state but are too chatty...mention your veggie starts or your pepper garden lol

I already ordered and received a digital ph meter, I got it 2 days ago

many people here have no idea how to grow if that was the case my 3 weeks old seedlings in coco that are on 1 ml per ltr on 2 times a day feed would be stone cold dead
Well, Tim1987 says processed pine bark is neutral and should be fine, and you're in Coco. I'm in soil. Coco needs nutes from the start, not soil.

If it's processed pine bark, in the gardening term, then it's fine. It means it's fully composted, and fairly neutral.

It's just fresh mulch, and peat / moss you need to be aware of really. Not many other things really.
After switching to the 26 watt cfls they're perking up more and appear to have had a small growth spirt overnight, the lower leaves that started to get brown tips/brown spots appear to be getting slightly worse but the new green growth has me feeling it might be fine. What do you think?

Fuken awesome!!
Yep. On the mend.
They'll abandon the unhealthy stuff.
Give them a week or two.
Honestly. You won't know they were the same seeds / plants soon.

That's a real improvement already.
Great news kota.

Can't wait! Ik it's not a problem but its got a 4 finger leaf lol, curious to see if they'll continue to grow like that or if they'll increase like normal to 5/7 and so on

Lol.
Yeah it's probably just the stunting.
Should be swell in a week or two.
I reckon they should be fine under those CFL, another week or two. Just watch they don't stretch.
Make sure you still find your ph. It's great peace of mind. You also quickly catch on to anything wrong.

Happy growing man.
Baby is looking happy.

So after another week or so once they're more grown and healthy they'll be good to go under the led? And I just checked my ph earlier and it went down slightly so I got fresh water and got the ph correct, should be good!

Yep.
Plain water.
I havnt used your light before. So I can't say. I'm sorry. It might just be a case of a little trial, and error.

I'd give it a week.
Maybe two.

Great news kota2300

Ideally. Though your cups are small.
I'd let them recover under the cfl.
If in a week or so they're filling the cup. Transplant.
Then after they settle into their larger pot. Hit them with your led.

Sounds good! I'll keep you updated, thanks for the help!

I'm gonna take a stab in the dark, and say your LED is way too close.
300watts of LED is a lot for a little seedling. You could probably have the light 2-3 feet or more away. The seedlings need to grow into their light.
Is it 300watt actual?? Or advertised as 300watt equivalent hid?
Light bleaching will cause pale yellow leaves. Is the plant really stunted? New growth just not growing?

I just shut off my little Mars LED because my seedlings were looking a little bleached after about one day. I thought a foot or so away would be safe but I have had this problem before. My seedlings are only a week old. I will grow under CFL until I get a second or third node. My guess for your situation is light bleaching. Any suggestions appreciated.

Sounds about right.

I had the same issues with my viparspectra. Leaf edges were curling like it was heat stress and low humidity. I couldn't put young plants under it, unless I switched the veg off, and just left it on flower.
The light was just too bright, and bad spectrum.
