Untested guerilla growing irrigation system

Ok so this is an idea I thought up while I was thinking about watering my guerrilla grow. First off we start with a Mr. Gasket 12 volt electric fuel pump at 4-7 psi and average 35 gallons per hour, A battery operated irrigation timer, A power wheels 12v kiddy car battery, some hose and a resivor. Now here is how I would put it together. I would take a shallow 15 gallon resivor bury it in the ground slighty elevated, I would fill the resivor with 10 gallons of water and mount the fuel pump in the resivor to make it sound proof even though a fuel pump makes very little sound anyways. I would wire the pump to the solenoid in the irrigation timer then wire the solenoid to the 12 volt kiddy car battery. So when the battery operated timer sound kicked it would put 12 volts to to the fuel pump. I would run hose to 1 or 2 plants and make a ring around around the plant. The only thing left would be to do the math and figure out how long to let the pump run to give the plant the proper amount of water. There are alot of variation to this. You can get fuel pumps that run at higher pressures and you could do more plants. If you either get a fuel pump that sits in the water or mount this one outside of tank you could put a piece of pvc pipe out of the tank and put a funnel on it to catch rain no carrying water or very little water. This system runs $33.00 for the fuel pump,$50.00 for the battery, $35.00 for the timer, and we will say $20.00 for resivor and hose. So all in all $140.00. I know it's not dirt cheap but it is an automatited system less visits to grow area less carrying of water on those weeks it does'nt rain. I think this system is superior over gravity feed system in that the resivor can be below ground. I believe it to be superior to most wick systems on the exception of the earth hole.

Yeah but i don't want a 55gln drum sitting out at my grow site and I definitly would'nt want to bury one. I'm not really sure how much noise a bielge pump makes but the whole key to this system is low profile.

I mean i'm getting free light. If I was growing inside I would spend twice that on a lighting system. Just cause it's an outdoor grow does'nt mean it's gonna be cheap.

I'm actually in the works of designing another irrigation system using compressed air. Just trying to do the math but it seems so far that a 2'x6"x6" would only give me a resivor of 1.25 gallons this one seems to be alittle inefficiant.
