Gotta love pickles and fresh 'maters. Early Girls are a nice BetterBoy hybrid. If you can find them next year in your area try a 'mater plant called 'Super Fantastic' They rock in the 'mater world.

I think I'm gonna try to grow a pumpkin next year! Anyone dare to challenge me to a biggest pumpkin grow? next year that is.

BTW I've never tried to grow a pumpkin before...so it should be a level playing field.

If your gonna grow a pumpkin, make sure you have plenty of space, those bitchs like to sprawl out all over the place. They also grow like weeds if they have some decent conditions, and enough water.

I like tomatoes Friedfor420, In fact I like all usable plants like veggies and fruit etc....

I did some research on the pumps and it seems to me that you have to pluck all but the one blossom you intend to grow for it to "BIG". Lets face it who needs more than one or two pumpkins for Halloween or whatever it is your particular culture does with it. My wife does thos portrait style carvings on them, Last year she carved the kids onto one and it looked awesome!

Anyhoo I'm still gonna give it a shot.
