Who is to say whats right and wrong? My setup may not be the exact same replica as yours or some other guys, but that does not make it wrong my friend. Actually I have had people here tell me that MH will produce more resin production than HPS, and HPS will provide more density to buds. Who knows? I just do what works for me, like everybody else here does.

Its not that you cant use mh with great success but through many many research funded expirements over many years it has been shown the red or hps spectrum is better used by the plant for flower while the blue or mh is better suited for vegging the plants. Now that said I do mix mine and use enhanced spectrum bulbs that offer closer to a 70 red 30 blue out put which gives you the benfits of both...Its not saying you can only flower with hps and only veg with mh its just the fact that each is better suited to a certain stage of growth as imitateion of natures natural sunlight cycle. Good grows either way
