so, i have 5 females of bag seed in flower.. i think 2 are ready for harvest, but i don't want to jump the gun. here's why i think they are ready.

i have read enough to take it as fact that when 3/4 of the white hairs turn amber, they are ready for harvest. looking at my girls, i know 3 are still white without doubt.. however the other 2 have decent crystal buildup and at least 3/4 brown hairs.. except one, the very top flower is still all white hairs..

my biggest reason for hesitating is they don't appear to have much on them. this is my first grow so i have nothing to compare it to, but other than the main flower, i think i have alot of "popcorn buds".. should i go ahead and cut them and start drying them now or will they continue to develop if i give them a few more weeks?

Harvest the two you think are already ready and wait a couple days on the other one

If you do harvest just a part of the plant does it need to sit in 48 hrs of darkness before its cut, then put back on regular schedule?

Some plants turn very amber but have clear/milky trics, and therefore are NOT ready. Others have had a fair amount of amber trics with a 60/40 red/white coverage and therefore WERE ready.

Your trics will tell you what you need to know. When I start seeing amber, I make my pre-harvest preperations and know that it's only going to be a week/10 days.
