upcoming harvest

what's up everyone.

thanks to all of your posts, i am close to harvesting 8 medical plants (my first grow). I have done the research and believe I know how to harvest, dry and cure.

Due to my wife and kids, I am a little nervous about how much my basement might smell during this process. I have other places I could use, but would rather keep this to myself.

Is there any tips that might limit the smell?

Thanks so much in advance.

PICS TO COME....

there are many kinds of filters available that do good work. also, you might think about low odor strains like northern lights for your next grow. GL

With kids involved, I'd find somewhere else to dry. The basement, with adequate ventilation may work for burping. But unless you have something fairly airtight, like a cabinet or tent. Where odor can be scrubbed (using filters like Po boy mentions). The smell will be a dead give away. Even if the plants don't smell too much now. They will smell strongest during drying.

Good luck :-D

Yea drying will stink up your whole house. If i was you i would try to find somewhere pretty remote to dry at. Or setup an airtight room with a carbon filter.

Try our an air sponge, workds very well for most smells. Will be using a few myself when drying this year. Probably wont take away all the odor, but will help. Regardless of what you do ... your house will likely smell.

Can buy those at walmart for $5. Worked amazingly well on a smelly car I had.

8 plants?...Lol.....man. Let me tell you right now. Its gonna stink up your whole place really bad. People always under estimate how bad fresh weed stinks. It just doesn't stink for a day or 2. It will stink bad for a couple days. With kids in the equation you need a better plan.

I'm drying 5 monsters. Check my SIG out. I live downtown so I'm drying in a tent out at my spot in the country. I bought a couple wireless fans and im praying for some warm days to help dry the first bit fast. I'll add a propane heater if need be. Once I can jar it up and begin the curing process I'll transfer it into the city.

Good luck, I hope it all works out for you.

Cheers.

These type filters are meant to be connected to a sealed environment like a tent. For example, http://www.hydrowholesale.com/viagrow-the-viagrow-ultimate-herb-dryer-jr-2-x-2u-5413 They scrub the air being moved out of the sealed environment. Unless you can seal your basement (and would you really want to?), or invest in a tent, this solution won't help.

Wrong again. Dude I have one in a room I dry in . It sits on the floor with the fan on top. it scrubs the whole room just like a basement. It's made to filter air. It doesn't matter where.

I'm a Little new to doing an outdoor grow this big myself, but when do you think will be a good time to harvest this year? We have been having some cold nights here in Detroit and i don't know if this will effect the quality of the girls.676A0067.jpg676A0064.jpg
