Upgrades for the aerogarden

What should I do? My roots are getting long and I don't want them to get bunched up together. I have a ECO air pump and air stone also added. The lights are 48w T5 and a flouresent tube light. I run the lights and pump 24hours a day.

do not worry about the roots, they will sort themselves out .

they may become loosely entangled both together and around the pump and airstone/air line - but they are very strong and resilient when healthy and you will be able to untangle them without too much hassle if you need to move or transplant them - but unless that is a propagator they will not need to be moved anyway.

How many plants can I have inside the aerogarden, and how long before I can know if they are male or female? The plants that I have are bag seeds, where can I get the "good seeds"? (I live in the U.S.)

that really depends on how big it is. Looking at the pics you have left about the right room inbetween the plants to allow for future growth.

do not let them veg for too long as they will still grow during flowering stage - and you do not want to run out of room.

you will not know their sex until you are about 2 weeks into flowering.

I go to Dr Chronic - but not sure if he still delivers to the States, you will have to have a look.

the aerogarden can support only 3 female plants through flowering, great lights! remember start flowering at 4 nodes tall, and your plants will triple in size. i used a nylon attached to the bottom of the aero pods to contain the roots so i didn't have that problem. (after the first root fiasco) a mature female plant can drink up to a gallon a day the aero res is only 1 gallon

Thanks, but what do you mean nylon? Please explain, how or what type of nylon you used and how you put it together.
