Haven't had dream recall for decades thanks to cannabis use and now for some strange reason after making a clear increase in my daily protein intake, I not only immediately began to feel less sore and more solid physically during my exercising but also almost overnight (um...hi) now remember my dreams.

glad i realized the need to up my protein when i did btw as i was running my body into the ground every other day and always sore and still skinny lol. (45yo male, vegan/veg since 2010).

i started adding shakes made from (shouts to bulk barn) pea powder(84% protein), hemp seed powder(49% protein), raw peanut butter(27% protein), fruit juice and water. tastes like cheerios and peanut butter blended with water

Congratulations man it would be hard to be a vegan no disrespect at all there
If you have the mindset and self-control to dedicate yourself to a lifestyle change like that congratulations are definitely due I work with a bunch of Amish and I say the same to them to completely ignore The trouble around you and stay true to your values and morals and lifestyles it should be acknowledged and usually only gets pointed out in negative ways so for you dear Sir I Tip my hat and say good day and God bless and good luck putting on the weight it would be hard

How many grams of protein are you taking in per day? I try to shoot for minimum 150 grams per day. Protein scoops makes it so easy to get an easy 30 grams instantly. Too bad you cant eat tuna, there's another easy 30 grams. Baked beans also another one of my go-to meals. Easy protein and shit tons of fiber... litterally :).

hey thanks for the kind words of encouragement!

i am at about 150g per day also. until i figure out a chana/chole recipe that i could stay with it's either about one block of tofu(frozen, fried, sauced) with fried potatoes (or rigatoni with marinara) for 50g protein, or a bean burrito with no less than 300-325g of refried beans and 55g cheese for 40g protein. i can almost eat two burritos in one day compared to the tofu meal though. with a few bowls of nut/fruit/almond milk and two shakes i reach my protein target for the day.

i have reduced my micro-nutrient intake (was eating lots of kale and generally more fresh veg before, and also more carbs). i added frozen berries though, and am finding ways to incorporate kale either making chips or adding to pasta etc

seriously though, i need to figure out a good chana recipe. why can't i make it like the packets in the store(?) edit: i also can't make hummus like the store bought kind either

I don't do protein shakes anymore. I simply ensure I'm eating enough meat, eggs and what not. I only eat once a day but when I do I have the entire farm on my plate lol.

I find my body runs better with one main meal a day as well. I generally have a coffee, an apple here and there throughout the day, and eat one large meal when home from work. Stopped all my issues with digestion and helped with morning fatigue drastically.

I stay away from most fruit but yah one meal a day is perfect for the most part. I run 4 to 6 Miles everyday and lift heavy with zero issues then eat when I'm ready. I wake up and generally don't eat much of anything until 10 at night. Every so often I'll do 3 days to a week fasted and it makes me feel amazing!

Definitely agree with fasting as well. A few years ago I was heavily into calisthenics and noticed that my output is drastically increased if I work out first thing in the morning after a full day fast. If I eat within a window of 12 hours before a workout, it feels like I have a 20kg weigh vest on.

I seem to be the opposite of most people in this regard. Another strange pattern I have noticed is that I am hindered by taking rest breaks throughout the week. I always feel the best if I workout daily mon-fri, and I do full body every time. If I take two days off in between, it also feels like I have 20kg added to my weight.

I guess it shows that people should experiment with their routine, as the status quo is not always the best for your individual body and metabolism. According to general science, working out while fasting and skipping rest days is a recipe for over training 100%, but it somehow works for me.

I might not bulk as efficiently doing this, but my actual performance and energy levels drastically increase.

I realize this is an old thread but wanted to comment as you are still active.

If your interest is specifically in dream recall start a dream journal. As soon as you wake wrote down every detail you remember of your dreams. Even the constant repeating of the thought "I will remember my dreams" as you fall asleep will increase your dream recall.

If you really want your dreams to get wild stop smoking cannabis.

just re-injured my knee and did some googles and have upped my protein to 2.0-3.0 g/kg per day to hopefully heal. if i can't continue running will switch to swimming and try to lift some weights. it is what it is : (

i am cutting down on the weed though also as a result. i do miss dreams it's true so it is nice to have them back now more than before

a few other things that happened after the protein increase from a few months ago are i no longer wake up with lower back pain and can eat pickled peppers without stomach pain after

actually it was weed that maybe caused my injury. i bent my knee out of shape at work one day in the fall of 2020, then the next day after i trimmed a balcony plant, i caught an epidermal numbing which had me feeling nothing and then i ran my knee into the ground. then kept running on it for over a year d'oh

knee seems to be healing. will stay off it for a while still

on the plus side, had a fleeting moment of a dream which was epic and scary. apparently i found myself on the balcony of a house in suburbia, looking at the city of buffalo (westside gunn was playing in the background)

but it seemed to be maybe a few hundred years in the future, as the suburbs sprawled across an endless valley into the horizon, and the city center/downtown on the horizon was the size of mount everest, with giant futuristic megastructures reaching to the clouds

I just take sarms. I partially ruptured the tendon connecting my calf muscle I limped around for two days by three the bruising was all gone walking halfway decent by the fifth day I ran 3 miles at a 10 min mile pace. By day six or seven running 6 miles at 7 min mile pace. Sarms are great for healing and muscle building. Currently been on. S23, s4, yk11 and vitamins.
