Upright Freezer Grow & Build

Hey guys...So I have a skunk plant growing right now....It's 8 days old...Apparently the seed I got was feminized (got it from a friend - I think it came out of a bag he had, and he said it's a 98% chance that it's female - sound right, i dunno? )

I am currently on the hunt for an upright freezer to grow in....Any suggestions along the way here would be great as this is my first grow.....

So far I plan to use CFL's and well as some t5's on the sides or corners...Are t5's the best tube to use?

I also plan on having an exhaust fan with carbon filter....Not sure if I will go with just a passive intake, and or fan assisted intake...It will be in my cellar where it is cooler, so I guess we'll have to see.....

Give me a bit, and I'll post a pic of what she looks like right now....:peace: bongsmilie

are t8's also ok to use instead of t5's ? I'm not sure what the difference is between them ? Just bulb width ?? so wouldn't t8 be better?

t5 seem to do the job in my fridge. I used spray adhesive to cover the walls with mylar. since heat is a big issue. I installed a heat transfer fan at the top all o.k. so far. I was thinking of installing 4 cfl hanging from each corner to get more light to middle of plant don't know yet. still more experimentation to do. I'll get some pix in a day or so. find a upright yet?

Damn, did I screw up ? Dude I got seed from told me to put it in a 5 gallon bucket? i also have been putting it out in the sun for a few hours each day....It seems stunted....Am I only growing roots ? Can it survive ? What should I do ?

Alright well she seemed to be somewhat stunted so I went and got this dome light at wally world...FYI it sucks at clamping down...if I try to clamp it at 90 degree angle it just slides down....anyways also got a socker extender and a 2 way splitter....Now I got 2 26w 6500k cfl's on her

the last pic was my original set up with one bulb...I'm movin' on up !

Wow....I have had that dome light on here for about 7 hours now and she looks like she is bigger already, and standing up tall too !!!

Apparently when using CFLs it's important to have enough bulbs, and put them real close like as close an inch near the plant !

Well, I just ordered a case of 23watt 6500k cfl's......then I will also pick up a case of 2700k contractor pack at the depot....I plan on mixing spectrums for vegging and flowering.....Also would like to add some 2 or 3 foot t5s but only if gotten at the right price......

Still looking for a freezer...I'm kinda hoping to find one at the dumps that has had it's freon removed.....

Once I get the freezer I am going to coat it with emergency blankets...picked up 4 on ebay for $6.15.....again trying to keep the cost down....

Then I am looking at a 3 socket vanity at Depot for 10 bucks....or maybe a 4 socket for 14 bucks....

yea 65k is a lot more cash per bulb then 2700 i would just get enough bulbs for veg deppending on how big yr trying to get yr plant 4 26 watt 65k would be fine for a two foot tall plant.find out how many lumens per square foot yr going to need in yr frig .3000 lumens per square foot is good for veg, but 5000 to 7000 is ideal for buding ,remmber the sun lets off 10,000 lumens per foot ,u want to get close to that with out harming or burning yr plant.

Well I think I was over watering her, and that's what caused her to be stunted, imo....I haven't water her for 4 days or so (soil still has some dampness to it), and she's taking off like crazy growing all kinds of new leaves to last 3 days or so.....

I picked up some jack's 20-20-20 - going to try using that....Also have some molasses now....Looking into bat guano and organic stuff too.
