correction: money is the only party that matters.
whatever happened to government 'serving the people'?
since the beginning, it hardly ever has.
any rules and regs for 'the people' were born from ruling class abusing working class.
the womens suffragette movement took 70 years, in which we finally got the vote in 1919. so up until then a women was merely a man's property like his horse..

Power is a strong drug too. Money is also power (Kochs, Soros) but the real power is in policy makers. Zutterberg may be filthy rich, but he doesn't wield the power of a US Senator or even a Valerie Jarret type.
I remember an interview with Condy Rice asking her if she would ever run for office and she said she is able to affect policy way more from behind the scenes than in office. I was naive to that point until the interview.
Power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely.

The people have to show up at the polls- but more and more, people who take the worst of this are those who say they will never vote. So maybe it has to get worse before it can get better. So much worse that people will fill the streets- and get shot at by the gov't with all those hollow points the Department of Homeland Security bought before people understand the magnitude of the mess made for us by the capitalists.
Remember; those making six figures and up AREN'T suffering... just the rest of us.
