URGENT EXPERTADVICE REQUIRED ***UPDATED PHOTOS*****

I have an isssue with a grow im trying to do.

It's my second attempt in the last couple of months as last one didn't go to plan either due to similar issues.

I decided to grow 17x auto flowers namely blackberry lush, gorilla glue strain and couple of others.

My setup consists of-

1) 300w blue cfl + also have 2x 600w how(not currently being used)

2) coco

3) started in final containers of about 15l

4) canna a and b nutrients

My girls are 3x weeks from being planted in pots (after tap root started showing on paper towel) I will post pictures later also to add on to this. My issue is for 3x weeks they are tiny around 2-3" tall and have some initial first couple of leaves but don't appear to be growing any new ones. Overall most are green with some having some little speckles like Bute burn/600w light I tried to use earlier than I think I should have.

I think I made a mistake in first couple of weeks by putting them under the 600w god at week 2? And also giving them a small amount of canna a and canna b at around 2 weeks. A week ago I put them back under the 300w blue cfl and haven't given them any nutes since. When I feel the pot they feel fairly heavy still, and the top part of soil is dry for about 1/2" then it starts to get moist so I think I need to not water them again yet?

My concern is they are 3x weeks old and autoflower? A picture could maybe paint a better picture for you all so after work I will put some up. I wondered whether I still had a chance with them as overall they look ok and not dead yet but something is slowing them right down and it happened with regular female seeds also a few weeks ago so I decided to scrap them and start these. Can these pick up again and still produce yield? Will they flower soon as 3x weeks or as they have been going slow will they just go longer if they get better? Could they still explode? I.e. Due to pot size they are building roots? Should I put under 1x 600w hps again now? Can't say exact temps of room as no thermometer yet will get one asap, I am on 24 hour light at the mo was on 18/6 etc but as the CFL doesn't produce much heat have bee worrying about temps being too low? Hence why I tried them under 600w a week or so ago as I thought this would help with heat it's fairly cold where I am and there is no heater in the room where the grow tent is.

Can somebody please advise on your thoughts here? Ideally I wana get these going and harvest decent such a waste otherwise

Well I'd deffo say heat and changing your lights, autoflowers don't like a change in light and low temps could be causing nute lockout, but you say you have 17 of them you're deffo going to need more lights than what you have, and from my experience swapping from CFL to hps does affect them as their different spectrum and that when you're swapping they're getting completely confused, but I'd say you'd need at least 3 600watt hps lights for 17, but if you've just been giving them that 300watt CFL, that's not going to do anything for them mate, get some pics up soon as so I can see what's up with them !

too cold plants don't grow well, be mindful of watering seedlings in that large of a pot. small plant with small rots isn't going to drink from the bottom. I mist daily maybe even twice daily all seedlings and fresh clones. I also water (I use solo cups to start) with a mister/spray bottle, gives the entire surface a little water to slowly filter down. I hate seedling stage it seems to take forever, I don't even count the first two weeks after an auto broke surface (every strain is different).
check temp asap, this is very important in your grow it can make or brake a grow.
if the plant looks healthy then just keep up with watering start nutes at low strength.
agree with pineapple that is not going to be enough light for 17x autos.

And another thing mate, you say this is your second grow, from my experience that's far too many to do, start off with maybe 4 or something, get use to growing gain as much experience as you can before doing that many, I'm a big smoker and I've only been growing 2 years or so and I'm still learning, and still I stick to 6 - 8 tops so I can concentrate on getting them perfect !

Depending on how you’re feeding them, one reservoir or multiple jugs, running multiple strains together can be an issue in and of itself. If you’re using a single nutes source, and you don’ t know for sure what each of the strains wants for nutrient levels, you’ll probably have some serious nutrient issues if they require different regimens.

thanks for all the replies. I only have the 2x 600w bulbs/reflectors so this is all I am going to be able to give them. I will take your advice and switch over to the HPS tonight, and both of them not just the one! I understand 3x would be better but 1200w is all I can do this time. How many hours of light do you all recommend? I will start feeding them nutrients at the lower strength as you advised. I am not thinking that all 17x of these are actually going to work out myself, hence the numbers.


Do you think these plants look like they could work if I increase light to HPS, and check my temps, to ensure this is better?

I have an extractor 5" fan, and carbon filter.

I don't have any intake/other fans.

I've actually done a few grows before, but not for a few years, and it was mainly soil however I have done coco. But with this latest grow and my previous try a few weeks ago I don't understand why things are so slow.

I personally think the Canna A and B nutrients I've got are probably rubbish, but it's all I got to work with currently.

Should I only water the plants when the pots feel lighter? How deep dry should they be? I'm scared I'm not feeding enough/watering too much. I re-used the coco this time from the last failed one a few weeks ago, if I put my finger in the soil is moist after about 1/2-1" do you advise waiting until pot feels light before I feed?

I understand what you are saying about multiple strains also, however it's what I got to work with.

Are they kinda yellow or is it just the photos? One have spots?

some of them have a little yellowing some of them don't. some have little speckles some don't. Kind of mixed? nothing pure yellow not even initial leaves?

can these little guys take 2x 600w above them with how small they are yeah? I only put them back under the cfl 4x days ago as I was scared the 1x 600w was having a bad impact.

I give them PH'd water of 6.0. is this ok? How many hours light you advise etc?

I don't know? Nutrient remains from previously failed grow coco a few weeks ago? Me giving too many nutes? Not enough? Putting under the 600w too early? I dunno mate I'm stumped? Last night I put the 600w hps about 4 foot odd above them and I have them in dark for 6 hours during the day. Will buy a thermometer today and let you know

Yellowing could be a few things. Lack of nitrogen maybe. Try some nutes.

Ok I will feed them quarter strength later where should I aim the feed? Round edge of pot? Round where plants are only? How much coz if I burrow my finger ain't don't take long to get moist but with the 600w above them and later 2x 600w sure things wil dry quicker

You want to soak the Root Zone of the plant. Go back to the CFL's if you can. Those are very young plants with issues. Save the big guns for when they get stronger.

Ok. I only had 1x cfl 300w , so tonight following others advice last night I have rigged up my 2x 600w hps, and fed them 1/4 strength nutes, I will upload some new pics again. I have a thermometer now and it's reading 29degrees but I expect it to rise a bit with having the 2x 600w. There autoflowers on week 3, they either going to work or not now. I did move onto the cfl days ago however following others advice above I'm now on the two 600w hope this works

7- gorilla glue auto strain
7- blackberry kush auto
1- Northern lights auto
Plus a couple of others will state later.

Having followed advice now on 2x 600w HPS, as per pics. Have also fed with 1/4 strength canna coco A + B, Let's see what happens.

Temps- 28-29 degrees with lights on. Intake fan being added shortly, have extractor.
