I have several plants I want to move outside but I don't want them to flower as soon as they are moved. Flowering in the fall as usual would be great. Can I move them outside. In april after being on 18/6 lighting without them starting to flower right away? Will the change in lighting from 18/6 to outdoor light of spring (which around here is about 12.5 to 13 hours of daylight) cause them to flower or will they continue to veg until fall? If they won't wait until then how can I accomplish this? Basically I want to be able to grow my plants to about 6 inches tall then put them outside and continue to veg them until the normal outdoor flowering time towards the fall season.

you know thats a good question but i would have to say that it would start to make them flower until the days got longer then it would revert themselves back to the veg state. i would wait until the days are about 14-15 hours of daylight then put them outside the days will still get longer the plant should recognize this and stay in veg.

if the plants are actually veging now, moving them outdoors wont make them flower as long as you have more than 12 hours of day light.I'd be more concern about the difference in temp and critters getting to them and the fact that you have to move them outdoors, than day light. If you do move from in to out i would start to ween them outdoors first.slowley get them used to the temp difference.
