[USA] What happens if customs finds your seeds

I'm a bit curious to see what happens if Customs finds your seeds. Do they just take them and destroy them, or do you get a fine, go to jail? Please lemme know!!

lol, good thing i have where i live, and where i grow 70 miles away :P

but anyone ever had their seeds confiscated from customs, and did anything happen?
 
Most seedbanks send them stealth and customs never catch them. On occassion they intercepted and customs may send you letter saying that your package was seized. Nothing ever happens to the person ordering them. If they get intercepted, just order another one, no big deal. I've order seeds from overseas several times and it hasnt been a problem.
 
I have never had it happen to me but most say you get a letter saying that contraband was found and destroyed.

mine got taken today and all I got was a t- shirt no letter. The fucking idiots on youtube are posting unwrapping videos so customs can know what to look for!
 
Instead of a new thread, I'll just use this bumped one:

If customs does intercept your package, is there anything on the outside that indicates what they may have found? Or is it just the tape?

Reason I ask is that I do happen to know our postmaster rather well, and he's the tee-totalling straight-laced Christian type. I often pondered what he might think if he somehow saw a package to me from the UK with custom's tape on it...
 
Mine just had the tape the one time one got stopped. I'm hoping my current order doesn't have any issues as it just got to chicago friday and chicago is how stopped the last one. Thats the idea of gauranteed shipping though. Attitude sent me out a new package the same day I called them about the one that got stopped.
 
The usual wait time when my packages go through NY is 1-2 days, my last one sat in CHicago for 4 days I think and I kinda knew before it got here there was an issue. Mine hasn't left Chicago yet today, it does say its processed so with any hope it leaves very early tomorrow morning. I'm gonna be pissed if this one gets stopped, I put the order in specifically to get some limited SinMint seeds that sold out the next day, along with some prerelease freebies from Sin City Seeds. If the package gets stopped, I will not be able to get the same seeds again for months.
 
Customs have a new system that they have been using sinse the first of the year,
and orders are geting snagged more and more and not just from the normal
entry spots.

Will they bust you for it? Well no they wont! Theres tons of beans flowing in and all there doing is
removing them and sending you the package.
 
4 days sounds promising I'll get my beans since you got yours with the same wait time. Also wondering what the difference is between " Inbound to customs " and the pain usual " (ISC) Chicago ".

dude I've replied to like 3 things you've said answering this lol. Mine left Chicago isc last night at 4:58 pm . That's Is where customs is
