Iv read some where that using used tea bags is OK to water ur plants with?? Any1 used or done this seems like a good idear??
Thanx will try that with the soilYou can also remove used tea leaves from bag and mix in soil. Really good for your soil. Just like coffee grounds.
Most chains like Starbucks have free coffee ground for farmers. You might need to sign up on line. But check at your local store. I always ask for the coffee grounds when I order coffee in a restaurant. Most of the time they bring them in to-go container.See iv heard all this b4 but I always though its was bull but obviously not lol
Yep. I compost my coffee grounds before adding to the soil mix.The thing about using organic matter like spent coffee or tea grinds to feed your plants is that in order for it to become available it must be decomposed by soil microbes so your plants can absorb it.
If you are using your soil as a sterile medium and primarily using nutrients to feed them top dressing w/ organic matter is kind of pointless. If you are growing in an active living organic soil then this makes more sense but keep in mind it takes a long time for whatever you add to break down. The more microbially active your mix is the faster the decomposition process happens. As it has already been suggested it might be better to toss your tea bags or coffee or whatever in a compost pile or worm bin first which will break it down much faster.
You should give it a shot to add your tea to your "spent" soil. I dry and crumble all my fan leaf as well. I use dry ice hash method an also add my shaken sugar trim. You'll find it all mixed into the dirt making a great mix pretty quickly, basically one flower cycle.I drink to much tea during the day
indeed maybe 20 cups
I's never include used tea bags in with my weed soils
but I'd decompose in my veg garden
just in case
something went bad
good luck
