using 2X2X5 GROW TENT to the max

this is my first grow
i have a 2x2x5 grow tent with the regular reflective walls of grow tents
1 plant strain= sage and sour a free seed feminised from attitude
1 small fan on plant
1 home made carbon vent fan
1 150w cfl that has output of 600w light -held about 2 inches from the plant
1 homemade co2 generator- the sugar yeast solution -open during light times closed during darkness
using organic biobiz nutrient -their grow kit -doubling their suggested dose of bio grow bec this strain loves lots of nutes -thats what attitude seeds said on it
the pot is 6 leter pot filled with soil im watering with ph of 5.9 - 6.2 the run off is just a few points higher
using lst stick training and i cut off a few big fan leaves once the subnodes grew to 2-3 nodes themselves in order to give more to thes subnodes that im trying to make into colas
i plan to scrog as well
avg temp is 70.5f humidity ranges bet 40-60
im watering when the top of soil feels dry, when i water i water till there is run-off

how is that set up?
any suggestions?
how high should i set the scrog net from the soil?
how many colas should i try to get by lst with sticks this way before letting it grow freely?
what else can i safely do to ensure the highest YIELD and potency - when money is an issue?
when those who u bought your seeds from say the strain can yield 450 gm what conditions are they talking about and how much should i expect from my plants?

I'll give it a go. I don't in any way mean to come off as a jerk, but these are my opinions of what you have going on.

First off you're pH is a bit low for soil. Never want to drop below 6.0 in soil. In a perfect world you would water with 6.2-6.5 and have a 7 runoff. Don't know who convinced you that a 150watt CFL is anywhere close to a 600watts output, but that is rubbish. The light is decent enough to grow a small plant though. Don't expect monster yields or dense buds with that light by any means. Also unless your environment is strictly controlled the Co2 generator is pretty pointless.

Completely forget what the seed company said about your plants eating habits. That is a sure fire way to cook the poor thing. Instead start with HALF of what the bottle recommends and only when the plant lets you know that it is ready for additional nutrients. Your soil quite likely has plenty of food in it to last a while. Please, for the sake of your plants health, do not start feeding it any time soon. Just give her some good old plain water.

This depends on how high the strain is going to stretch. Your 5 foot tall tent isn't going to allow much vertical growth so i'd suggest keeping the screen pretty low. If it decides to triple in size and you have a 2 foot tall plant you are fucked. Keep that in mind.

Just keep it simple and don't try to overthink things. Have patience and don't overwater! That was what I did and I fucked my first couple of grows up big time. Just let the plant do it's thing. Leave it alone until it requires your attention.

Never under any circumstances trust what the seed companies tell you about yields or potency. The only way to find out is to grow the plant correctly. With all these different strains mixed together you are liable to get traits that look nothing like the pictures you see. There are too many variables at play to make any assumptions about your yield.


Read READ and read some more. Learn everything thing you can so you don't make the mistakes I did. Cheers.

theres an edit the cfl is 6500k 105w output of 525w-thats what it says on the box
i added another 4 28w 2700k
had to transplant the roots were peeking out of the drain holes it now has a 5 gal potter
and i hope for the best what ever it will be will be
ph will dofrom next watering
my runoff is usualy only .3 more than what i give it -it should be fine
stopped feeding till the plant notifies me or the top inch or 2 of soil is dry

Hey man,
Just a mention, in case you don't know this..
6500K lights (white) is for veg stage.
2700K lights (yellow) is for flowering stage.
It's good althought to have some white lights in flowering stage, it produces more crystals.

Are you going to use these lights for flowering?
If yes i dont think is a good idea.. Your main light should be 2700K.

Propably you knew that but the 105w 6500k CFL confused me.

OK HERES THE END RESULT IN FLOWERING I ADDED A 140W LED W/4 28W CFLS 2700K DURING THE COURSE OF THE GROW THEY HAD NUTE BURN A FEW TIMES 1X TO THE POINT OF BURN HOLES IN THE LEAVES SUSPECTED POSIBLE BAD BOTTLE OF BIOBIZ BIOGROW CUASE EVERY PLANT THAT GOT BIOGROW GOT BURN HOLES IN THIER LEAVES LOOKS LIKE EATEN BY ACID ALSO EATEN LEAVES FROM SOME KIND OF FLYING INSECTS PROB WHITE FLYS OR APHIDS OR BOTH AND MY FIRST GROW AND WITH ALL THAT I YEALDED FROM HER ABOUT 2 1/2 ONCES HOWEVER UNDER THE CANOPY THERE WAS LIKE ANOTHER UNDER RIPPE CANOPY THAT I COULDVE PROBABLY HARVESTED THE TOP AND LET IT CONTINUE FLOWERING AND GET ABOUT DOUBLE AND THATS PROBABLY WHAT I WOULD DO NEXT TIME JUST THAT THE FEAR OF STEALTH AND FIRST HARVEST WAS SO BIG THE SMELL YOU COULD FEEL IT IT WAS SO STRONG SO I HARVESTED AS FAST AS POSIBLE BUT IT WOULDVE BEEN OK
I ENDED UP PUTTING THE SCROG 10 CM FROM SOIL WORKED OUT GREAT HERE R SOME PICS OF THE GROW I ENDED UP NEEDING TO TRANSPLANT TO 3 GAL THEN 5 GAL I HARVESTED AT DAY 60 OF FLOWERING IT VEGED FOR 6 WKS

Looks like a lot of premature bud to me.

THE LETTLE COFFEE JARS R BUT THE BIG JARS WITH THE BIG BUDS SEEM TO ME VERY READY MY CAMERAS NOT THAT GREAT BUT THESE BUDS R COVERED IN RED HAIRS AND LOTS OF CRYTALS THE HIGH IS ONE OF THE BEST IVE HAD IN MY LIFE COMPARED TO CHOCOLOPE, ORANGE BUD, AND CHEESE THAT IM CURRENTLY FAMILIAR WITH BUT YES I SAID I COULDVE LET IT GO FOR A WHOLE NOTHER HARVEST IT WAS LIKE I HAD A 2ND CNOPY UNDER THE CANOPY IT WAS WIERD FROM THE PICS I DONT SEE ANY CRYSTALS OR RED HAIRS THEY LOOK LIKE REGS IN THE PICS BUT IN REAL LIFE THEYRE REAL PRIMO STUFF

lol that grow u messed up so bad

the reaosn ur plant sburned is coz obviosuly u kept up with the double strength nutes or watever.

u had MAINLY blue spec bulbs, say if u have a 1k hps then ud add a 250 MH for teh blue, that kind of ratio works
next u bought a crappy led panel DONT,

u would have had better reults with a 250 hps and they are very very cheap.

next time listen to advice coz dude tbh,, thats shwag,low grade early pull,,, keep it simple brother. ther called weed for a reason.

my advice buy a 250HPS and use your currant lights as side lighting, coz tbh, thats all ther good for.

and no way on any planat is ANY 105 watt cfl anyware close to the power of a 600 LOL

and throw out the c02 bottle it will do more harm than good, i was like u first run, bin it, it will fuk ya shit up coz u dont know how much or little c02 its actually putting out

YES THE COS BOTTLE EVEN THOUGH I (AH CAPS! ) saw a signifigant improvement in the plants shortly after i got some bug problems it was also a pain in the kneck i wouldnt do it again -so i think let see next harvest

another thing i learned in this grow is that wattage of lights no matter what kind never go with equivalent the wattage is the wattage i got 105w from that bulb no more no less if i had closer reflectors it may have been better who knows

if your all saying i picked 2 early then maybe so if it can get better then we all want better i was happy with what i got in that grow for what it was however i did say 2 myself next time i would only harvest the ripe buds and let the others fill out more like harvest in stages i thiink id get a whole lot more and the buds would ripen more when your supply runs out and ya didnt smoke 10 yrs before that supply well maybe those buds looked more ready than they were however i feel that being the fact that they got only 105w cfl for veg then 252 watts between led n cfls for flower id estemate its about a half a gram a watt on my first grow w/no hps
it couldve been more and wouldve w/o all those stress factors

didnt get hps because of stealth reasons no place to put the balast another fan noise and ducting there was just so many big part outside the tent im not in the situation that its possible itll attract the intrested eye too well my friend
