using a drip

No you don't. But it will help if your water level drops below where it's needed. 2 ways of feeding can only help in dwc.

do i absolutely need a drip for my DWC?
i like top feed dripp for vegging. it helps them get their roots down from the net pot into the bubbling water. other wise i end up baby sitting the fresh transplants by hand watering them every hour or so the first few days. It may not be required and I am just paranoid about my babies. i'd def recommend recirculating deep water culture. keeps ph and ppms the same throughout the system.

Connect your buckets together with poly hose then connect it to a reservoir. Put a drip emitter in each bucket and run them 24/7. Bet you would have some monster growth.

If you get the GH With the Coco lid it is a must.As the lid sits down about 8" and is full of hydrotron.I have a massive root ball in the lid, then into the buckett of nutes.
