using a smoke buddy as a carbon filter for cab

Has anyone tried to use one on a small grow and did it work and for how long. I know they work wonders for smoking application. but interested in seeing one tried on a grow. they are like $30 bucks and usually last me a couple of months for smoking
 
Just an fyi, you can get them for roughly $13-$15, I love those mother fuckers. I don't know if you can use them personally but I think they can.
 
thanks trontoke just what i was trying to figure out wonder if i could use an old one to pack full of carbon to make my filer out of since i like the idea of the size of it.
 
Depending on the size you want man just buy something cylindrical close to the diameter you need. Either something made of metal plastic or mesh.
I used a metal mesh pencil holder from the dollar store.
Put a piece of pantyhose in it and filled it with $6 worth of carbon from Wally World..
If you use metal or plastic you will need to drill a buttpile of holes.

I change my carbon and it seemed to keep up
