I'm running mammoth p as well. I don't know at what concentration it would kill the bacteria in mammoth p but it would probably be fairly high. If you have a microscope you could try seeing how motile or vigorous the bacteria in mammoth p are before and after adding dilute H2O2 to give you some idea of how much you can add before it causes high mortality.

I personally do not use any disinfectants in my reservoirs, but my setup is a little different.

Hydrogen peroxide is at the bottom.
There they talk about concentrations needed to kill different kinds of bacteria. 1ml/gal of 35% H2O2 is 0.35/3785.41178 = 9.2460218423053568032167956110709e-5 or 0.00000924602% concentration. I tried asking customer service at mammoth p a similar question and they didn't answer me.

It is not going to work. I learned from DGC that h2o2 will kill microbes, just as it kills bacteria. I use Mammoth now in my rdwc and just use my chiller to keep between 60-70* & don't need h2o2 anymore. I do still use it in my smaller rdwc thoth that's not on a chiller.

H202 is just going to kill the bacteria in Mammoth P....beneficial microbes in my experience are much more effective (Hydroguard, Great White) in both preventing root rot and stimulating root growth....in fact, many people that can't/don't want to buy chillers run these beneficial microbes with great success, myself included....water temps stay around 75F, never had root rot or root issues.

I used to think H2O2 was the cure all then I found this stuff and rest is history. This is pretty much the liquid version of Great White so better for hydro and great price. I never had a smelly res or root rot and will never go back to H2O2

I agree! My buckets run about 74/75 degrees once the plant is large enough for it's canopy to cover the bucket. I run Hydroguard and have not had root rot issues yet.

I've seen a lot more experienced growers making the switch from a sterile rez to bennies here lately it seems...couple years ago everyone talked about running h202 and keeping water cool to cure root rot, and sorta scoffed at wanting organisms in your rez.

You should consider adding Great White...greater array of bennies, and I'm pretty sure it contains the same as Orca as well as Hydroguard both. I know it has the same baciculus that Hydroguard does. Just a thought tho....happy growing.

Oh my god...I mean...ok, I won't make any snap judgements. But I just can't imagine the product itself having anywhere near that value....I would do a review on it but I'd like to be able to afford groceries this month...lmao

I would have loved to get a free bottle like they were giving out a few weeks ago but didn't get a chance to sign up. If the side by sides are correct and it does increase yields by 20% then the extreme cost could be justifiable but it would have to be at least 20% to justify the costs.

Just email mammoth microbes and ask for a sample. They sent me 2 60ml bottles. And they only call for .6ml per gallon. That will last me 20 weeks in a 10g res.... for free!

Thanks for the info Frosty!! That'd be an awesome way to run some side by side benny trials...I'd like to see it alone vs it with Hydroguard or Great White also.
