Using old trim and flowers for BHO best practices?

Has anyone had experience using old material (trim and flowers) when making bho? 6-12 months

More specifically, I'm looking for input on how using old material will effect purge temps in relationship to the polished finish.

Can you get a nice dry tangible texture from old product?

If so best practices are appreciated. Thanks.

There should be no difference in the amount of time or the heat with which you purge.
Older material tends to make an amber colored extract and more often than not the resulting concentrate is shatter, hope that helped, but I'm unsure about what you mean by best practices.:|

Well, thanks for the feedback. Just curious how much old product will effect the finished texture.

I don't know what u mean by the texture, but it will probably be a totally non viscous extract when it's done and purged meaning it will most likely turn to shatter, but it can most often be turned to whatever consistency you want it's just a matter of how you purge it.
All the older material I run seems to come out with shatter without having to winterize.
