Using only flowering nutrients?

I'm just about finished with my first grow. Basically, my plant got too damn big for the space I'm growing in. I had to tie it down all over the place and every morning keep up with tying it lower and lower so it wouldn't grow into the lights and burn itself. It's a Lowryder #2. It got way taller than I had expected. I have about 20" in vertical space for a plant. My question is, can I cut the veg nutrients and just use flowering nutrients throughout the entire grow? Will this help keep the next one smaller?

What? What brand nutrients are you using and how old is the plan t? And think about this - if it's too big then why feed it anymore? Just water the damned thing. The N is the main source of energy for growth but feed the plant what it needs from now on, not what you want to feed it. Watch for signs of deficiencies and treat only what you see.
