Using salt to make icewater bubble hash?

I was wondering, since salt lowers the freezing point of water, are there any beneficial effects of adding salt to icewater when making bubble hash? since the water will be much colder will it help knock the trichomes off or will it harm the final product?

I see no trouble if you rinse your bag leavins with much water.
That said ... it's an awful lot of salt. I don't know if it would make your greens brittle, leading to a higher leaf dust contamination level, canceling the advantage of knocking the trichomes loose more easily. cn
