Using t5 and hps

Hey guys so i have a question and im looking for some suggestions on this

so i have a 600w hps that i no longer want to run for a full flower cycle

i am wondering if i combine my t5s(red&blue) and hps

for flowering will it work

so 1st month t5s
and second month HPS


or should i do it reverse

1st month hps
2nd t5?

i hate leaving my house with the hps on it freaks me out everytime i see or hear a fire truck my heart almost jumps out of my chest lol (parinoid i know)

i don't know how many t5's your talking about here, but if it's a couple hundred watts then for sure you can start flowering with the t5's. I would only do 2 or 3 weeks before getting your 600 going to maximize yield.

If your you want to run your t5's i would look into the Led without LED's there certain bulbs you can buy so you can actually flower just with t5 depending on how many you have.

Or you can hang your t5's vertical for more light with your HPS above that would be good to. But if your stuck on running one at a time, I would do t5 first with mixed bulbs than HPS.

pretty good thread i may actually ditch my hps and go this route!
i know hps is the standard and all but i just think t5 is more for me i like the fact they run cool and dont take so much power
heat is a huge issue!

Yea LEDS are pretty pricey, T5 might be the way to go if you have it already, I think with the 8bulb T5 you should grow some nice buds... do a test run id like to see if would out perform your HPS. Im running MH and HPS in my flower right now with temps of 77-85...1k Watts.

im not sure it will out perform but it will get me pretty close without all the extra bs fans ducting ac like that all just seems so stone age to me haha

i like to keep things simple!

i will i just put my 600w hps up on craigslist

i have a 400w hps as well and ill probally use it for a week or two in the beginning to allow the plants to strech a bit then get em under the t5s

save myself some $

save myself some stress

Where u located and how much you selling the 600w? Make sure your T5's has as many lumens/PAR/PUR as whatever light your switching from to dont want to shock your plants and make them retarded...

You should go from the t5 to the 400. I'm going to do the same thing as soon as they make the turn I am going to put them under 1k lights

so cal area i have it up for 180 with the ballast and ducting and an extra bulb

its a sunlight supply yield master

Wassup Mann I new to this site but if your worry about that. There are these bulbs that I'm looking to get next week at my grow shop down the road from my house. It's called LITRO GLOW BULBS. The guy there turn me on to it cuz I told him that I didn't want to spend alot on electricity but here's some guy where I live giving these bulbs a try.
