UV-B Terrarium light to incfrease trichome production

Has anyone heard of or tried this method? I read that UV-B is what causes the plants to produce essential oils, including resin, and that hanging a UV-B terrarium light within 20" of your plant will help ensure your plant is producing maximum oils and trichomes. If someone can confirm it works, I would hang one in the top of my cabinet.
I stumbled across this info while trying to research normal trichome production. My plants are in week 5 of 12/12 (week 4 of actual flowering) and the only trichomes I can see are right on the buds and it takes a microscope to see those. I'm not sweating it yet. This is my first grow, and bagseed and I know alot of trichome production can depend on the strain and genetic and I have no idea what I have growing here.
I don't know much about bud production from start to finish and this is my first grow, so I am learning by watching my plants. You can only learn so much through reading rather than doing.

UV may cause the plant to pump out more frost...but I know its not a huge factor..
It does not effect delta 9 levels with respect to other cannabinoids

uv-b / uv-a will create more oils and trichomes.. up to 5% uv-b run the whole time. anything higher like reptile bulbs that are 10% uv-b, run for only 5 hours a day. it also improves vegative growth

You can also increase your K by 3.0 and use a magnesium sulfate supplement (like "sweet") and achieve the same result's in "oils and trich's"!

Also to note is that the UVAnm range is EXTREMELY detrimental (poisonous) to cannabis. That is why the Mercury Vapor bulb is "harsh" on plants as it has increased UV across the spectrum. You can get results by putting your MH bulb back into your hood for the last 2 weeks (be sure to remove the glass sheet from the hood) of flower and through flush. You may consider a wing style reflector if you are inclined to try this!

Also harmful to human eyes and skin...so be sure to have a switch to shut it off...OUTSIDE of the grow room. Even better is an automatic door switch.

I did try a couple of these in my flower room and had a major herm issue. Not saying it was caused by the UV-B, just that I was unable to make an evaluation of said UV-B.

My opinion now is that it's perhaps similar to CO2. It is beneficial IF everything else is maxed out. But with a sub-par grow, it's probably a waste of money.

I use a supplemental UV-B Bulb and my buds are covered in frost. UV-B does increase tricome production the next thing I am getting is a CO2 release system and I will have everything in my grow space.
