UV LIGHT ON DURING NIGHT DURING FLOWERING PERIOD THEORY!

Why place a wager if you are skeptical? How are you measuring your "increased trichome production"? I don't need your $12 dollar bulb. If I ever think I can get better quality/weight, I'll put my money on a sure thing and drop an overlapping 1k in my space, and pull twice the weight/potency than what you did.
I'm a skeptical person is what I mean. I don't believe it until I see it, like you appear to be. It's the wise way to be. Just make sure you also keep your mind open and give things a try, sometimes we are surprised.

My measure was purely appearance from one side of a plant exposed (light placed about 6" left of main cola) vs opposite side (unexposed) of cola under same main lighting. Left side trichomes stand up straight and point directly at UVB bulb when viewed under dope scope. Right side trichomes were more squiggly pointing more randomly and quantity on UVB side appeared to be greater, aka more frosty. I wish I had pics and a scientific way to quantify, but the best I can offer is a $12 bulb and my word that you will find it to be worth more than $12. Anyway it's a $12 risk, with a much larger upside, worth the try I would think. I promise I don't own zoomed or other reptile bulb companies.

Why did you delete the post before this one? Did you think you may have said something to make yourself look foolish? If you think you know better than the horticulturalists at Washington State University, by all means, please continue to let the new people believe they can do better with a few shitty bulbs plus another shitty bulb. You say the risk of torching 2-3 months of work, and winding up with bleached unhealthy buds outweighs the FACT that a few more lumens of HPS or LED will DEFINITELY get you a better pull? I say post a side by side, or something to back your claim. Until then you are just posting info that could potentially hurt ANYONE'S crop who winds up reading this.

I didn't delete anything. If deleted it was a mod not me.

I probably was in the middle of editing, don't remove stuff editing though, just usually add.

Yeah, a 26w 10% UVB bulb has the power to cause massive distruction to your crop. Lol, you are being silly now. I can't offer a side by side, but I will show you the results of 200w of UVB 10% in a 32sqft space in about 8-9 weeks. (also under CMH and DIY LED lighting.)

I'm not trying to be an asshole or anything. I am simply speaking from my own experience. Plenty of growers just starting out always seem to think that theres some cheap and easy fix to growing better flowers, but it's really only about having some simple knowledge about a few really simple things. It's a combination of good genetics, knowledge of how your particular strain likes to be fed, your temps, your ventilation, and IMO your medium. A $12 reptile bulb is not going to turn your 24 watt cfl grow into something fiery.
I wouldn't expect it to I just wanted to know if uv lights would force the plant to flower even if they are on during the dark cycle and if they really do make them produce more THC. I'm growing outdoors and I bring my plant in at night

You edited that post 3 times, I see. You seem anxious to prove me wrong, but still have nothing to offer. You're going to show me some results without a baseline? Now who's being silly?

EDIT: spelling

I tend to edit, I post then add to the post instead of posting over and over.

Totally agree on do not interrupt dark.

I will see if I can get pics while I do the party cup grow comp, that is the only plant that won't be in a room with UVB already installed. Just try it and I bet you change your mind, if you think a 26w bulb is going to ruin your crop you probably thought the LHC was going to create a black-hole and suck you in.

And, if you think a 26w bulb going to make your crop come out any better any better than my 1k full spec lamps, than you need to lay off the dabs and do some fucking reading sweetheart.

Your full spec lamp likely puts out some UVB while a (normal) HPS puts out none. UVB is why MH can produce more potent bud than HPS, though HPS obviously has other advantages (like more red light for more total weight.) I don't know the output level of yoru full spec in UVB, and proving out how much UVB is the right amount would be harder than proving it helps.

You have no proof against, so where does the high horse come from? Do some reading yourself, you have some things to learn, move past the basics and get to experimenting if you want to ever produce the best. You sound like an old timer who is locked into his ways and won't even consider the possibility of improvement. That is a sad equation.

Like how I added that after reading your comment below. Also like how I finally decided to use your level of low tactics?

Likely? Are you sure you are satisfied with this post? I am going to wait 5 mins and then actually respond to this so you don't go back and edit shit into it.

I take that back. I have better things to do than try and help some whelp who joined 3 months ago with his logic. So you go ahead and gear up a side by side, start with a baseline, and maybe think about having some citations to back your claims when we talk next. I look forward to it.

There is one of those low tactics. Lets play the fools trump card, time devoted, or seniority. Believe me you are being the opposite of help and you will know it when you give a $12 bulb it's chance.
