I basicly have a 400W HPS for flowering, but i also have a 36w tube light that i could simply buy a UV light for and use it during the flowering stage. Few questions. Is it worth it?
will it give me cancer( i dnt spend too long in their 7mins a day) and will the UV lights they use in clubs work?

do the UV lights used in clubs give the same effects, and would it be better to use it only for the last 3 weeks so the plant doesnt get dmged by light?

You need the numbers off the globe , and it will tell you what all the UVA, UVB readings are. imfoa , you are going to need a particular type of bulb and light.

depends on your uv wavelength. if you get the wrong kind you end up with an ozone generating antimicrobial bulb

and you dont want ozone IN your grow room.

lumen vs. spectrum wise, i think youd be better off just getting another grow bulb

Reptile UV bulbs are the cheapest easiest way to go. Although you don't want to run it for 12 straight hours as it will damage your plants. If I remember the theory behind it, it states that extra resin will be produced to help shield the plant from the harmful UV rays. Remember that prolonged use will burn the shit out of your plants.

As already said, you really have to do your homework on this one. You will do more damage than good if not done right !

Good Luck !

It would be hard to tell how much trich increase you get, without having someone do a side by side test with two clones, from the same mother plant. There are nute supplements that I have used that achieve extra trich production. Snow Storm Ultra or Purple Maxx. Both are great products, as long as you follow the directions completely, as they can burn your plants. I prefer the snow storm ultra, while a very close friend prefers purple maxx. But again these are products that should be introduced within the first 2-3 weeks of flower. Also if you choose to use these products on any grow of yours, make sure to only feed quarter to half strength nutes. Both these products make your plant suck up the nutes quicker then normal.
