If anyone owns these and uses them , what light schedule do you run them on ? What experiences have you had with them ?
just got mine in the mail . 2 of the two footers . Still about two weeks out from light schedule change, gonna put one on the left and right of my 4x4. Anyways would love to hear some feedback . Thanks in advance

There is a good thread with all that info here someplace. People run them at a bunch of different schedules, but I'd recommend being conservative with the length of time you have them on, as well as the height to start, then observe your plants for how they react. 15 min on per hour for the 4 hours in the middle of your 12/12 is popular, but so is 5 min on. I think that's a good place to start. There are some knowledgeable people here with UV experience that helped me with these as well, though I'm using the agromax pure UV bulbs.

i just started re-using my agromax. 5 mins on 3 times per 12 hours (kinda during what would be the middle of the day for the plants)

what's your schedule?

Ive run a few different plants under the solacure. I start out with 30 minutes for a couple of days mid light cycle. Then I'll double it to an hour. The indica's I've run so far haven't wanted more than a couple hours a day. Ive got a Panama Gold/Columbian Red x tknl5haze going right now, it might get 4 or 5 hours a day of the solacure. They are a little over 3 weeks into flower, and getting 3 hours at mid day.
I was told to increase the time on, until the plants tell you its too much, then back off a little. Equatorial strains should want more uv, but just pay attention to the plant.
One thing ive noticed, is the uv will burn the shit out of any part of a leaf with moisture on it. I run all led's, and even if I spilled water all over a plant, and beads sat on leaves, the leds wouldn't cause burns. So I never paid much attention to splashing water onto leaves. When I first got the solacure, I learned day 1 that I had to be much more careful.
I wouldn't expect the 30% thc boost as the company claims, but all my buds under it have been super frosty. There has only been 1 strain that I ran pre Uv, and post uv. It was definitely much frostier the second time, but it was only my second grow, so part of the increase could be better practices.
The way I look at it, uv is part of the light spectrum led's are missing. I don't think it is a miracle light, but I definitely think its an important part of the spectrum, and your plants should benefit from it :bigjoint:

damn! the agromax bulb must be way more UV than the solacure i would guess. 1 hour of that thing and the leaves turn to leather.

Thanks for the feed back . They have a paper saying that some leaf wrinkling was acceptable . And that it will increase resin production . I’m excited to see what they do. They have some bold claims on thc increase lol

Yeah I was a bit worried at first. You do have to be careful, their 2' fixture runs at the same wattage as the 4' fixture. So its basically doubling the intensity from what I understand. Ive got the 4' "mini" fixture, and its only 24 watts. So 6 watts per linear foot of bulb.

They talk on their website about internally jumping a wire in the standard fixture, to double the wattage to 40 watts. Im not sure if my mini fixture can be increased the same way. I believe the bulbs can be run pretty hard, but I don't have the balls to run full blast

I don't doubt it increases resin production, seems pretty consistent with other information ive read, unrelated to solacure. They do have some bold claims. As with any company selling a product, I'm usually on the skeptical side  I have no way of accurately testing and recording thc levels, so all my wisdom is gonna come from the "seat of your pants" discipline :bigjoint: Good luck with the light, and don't forget to get some glasses or goggles that have uv protection. I haven't burned my eyes from these bulbs, but I have been burned by welding flash, and its terrible. Happy growing :leaf:

Thanks and for 190$ shipped to the door they threw in a digital timer , uv protected shades and a t shirt that they said if I wore and sat by my grow patiently , I’d get an increase yield of “ about a pound “ lol thanks for input !

I run a california lightworks 2' florescent very similar to the one the op mentioned. I ran it this grow for 20 min then 15 15 over a 3 hour period towards the end of my light cycle. Seemed to work very well. 24" from the canopy. Noticeable extra frost.
