Hello everyone!
I have had a uvonair 5000 for quite some time and desperately need to hook it up. i had it going in the past and they DO work great! the only thing holding me back now are two questions...
First off, i've been investigating these issues for a while now with no luck. i haven't found any direct answers. So, finally, i figured i would ask the same internet community that i've relied on for years. I made a profile and here i am!
These are my Questions:
1) Does the uvonair 5000 have an operational heat restriction? i would like to place mine in the exhaust of my room which also vents the hot air form my 12,000 btu portable air-conditioner? will the heat damage the uvonair system?
2) The uvoniar is only 4inches wide and the instructions located on their homepage suggest to use an 8inch exhaust duct, at the smallest. Do i place the system in my 8inch flex duct and clap the duct down around the uvonair system? forcing all the air through it? OR Can i just leave the system sitting in my 8ich duct? With previous trials, the system seems to be strong enough to eliminate odors, even if all the air isn't running through the system. (i wouldn't have an issue clamping the 8inch duct down on the uvonair, but i don't want to restrict airflow and overwork my exhaust fan)
i searched for any paperwork/information that came in the box and i also wrote the company an email and called a few times? so far no response
any information would be greatly appreciated.
