I just got this bud from a friend of mine called the Valencia. I usually get such good bud from him (Purple and OG Kush, SSH, Sour D, and Shipwreck mostly) but this Valencia is so sick! :joint::joint::joint::hump:

It tastes like straight citrus, with a kushy/skunky undertone. SO GOOD! I thought I know about moost of the good strains but damn! Anyone gotten this or grown it before? Where can I get some clones?

Alright, got a little more background on the Valencias...It's actually from Florida! I'm in a medical marijuana state, and my friend who gave it to me said the grower knew that it originated in South Florida in the past 5 years....any FLA heads out there seen or smoked this?? I'm intrigued...

I live in florida and yes I have come across this before and their is a story behind it. So the story goes like this an unnamed grower orders seeds from an unnamed internet company. The seeds were suppose to be a kush purp hybrid femmed. Now if you been to Florida you will see vast and small ornge tree groves from lower north florida to deep south florida. This grower lived on his own ornge field and made a plot of an unknow amount. Now as the plants were growing ornges would fall and rot into the plants soil causing a good amout of citric acid indo the soil giving the citrus flavor. When the grower notice their indeed were males in the crop not all femmed. Reluctant to pic them because of the femmed lable so it was left alone. The grower went to the plot to see opend pods on the male and was still let go for a number af days and then were removed. When harvest came the seeds were visable. As many seeds would shake and fall out during the dryin were kept. The erb sold like wildfire and before it was all sold an indoor crop was started with the kept seeds but sure to remove any males. When the new crop was grow the grower noticed the citrus flavor was still in the bud. realizing a new strain was born the grower sout out to mix male and female to get seeds and sell to friends and give to family. Were the seeds went from their nobody knows. O yea ur welcome from florida.

That's killer! Thanks for the info! Funny how one of my most potent and favorite strains is from Florida! Glad it made its way out here, is this still available in Florida?

interesting story, but the 'citric acid' impared in the initial crop would change the genetics of the seeds and make that taste in future crops.

that would be like saying you put blue food color in the soil to make a blue hue in the plant and then subsequent seeds produced blueish plants.

that sounds right to me. anyone else? but the bud does look killer. no doubt.

I believe that the oranges in the soil could give the plants a bit of flavour. Now forgive me if im wrong but i thought the gentics of a plant will stay the same. If it is true then thats saying if i feed the soil bananas im gonna get some banana bud and all the seeds will have a banana taste.

Means that we can change the taste of weed to what ever we feed the soil to.

Maybe i should feed my plants some roast beef then i can have some roast beef tasting buds lol.

Yeah the pics of the buds is looking real tasty i wouldnt mind some of that right now.

it might just be me...but i think it looks like blue mystic....this is what nirvana says about it....This mostly Indica strain with some origins in California, produces heavy buds with a velvet blue hue in the latter stages of bloom under good growing conditions. Blue Mystic has an earthy smooth somewhat fruity berry flavor with good shelf life.

basing that on looks alone...i cant smell it,taste it,or smoke it to see what type of high it gives..he said it has a citrus taste to it...some strains can vary on tastes..some have a slight berry taste...but there can be some that gives a citrus taste from the same strain...depends on the grow conditions.but to me it looks about the same
