Van grow room setup

Hi everyone I am a new grower and I want to do a small set-up in back, but its a challenge because I need the setup to draw as little power as possible.
I don't have much stuff so I have a 2.5x2 foot area set aside that gets decent light through the windows and I sleep in the passenger's seat. I've bought an inverter that I plug in the 12v socket and it gives me a plug in then I got a 3 way splitter and two CFLs. I drive at night when it's coldest and darkest because the seedlings are in veg mode right now. I try to keep the light cycle as close to 24/0 as a can depending on how much gas I can buy. I am going to but an extension cord because I think theres a spot I can plug it into near a parking space I goto for the free wifi. I was curious if anyone here has ever done a vehichle or other low power stealth set-ups and had tips for me? I was thinking about getting a box and lining it with tin foil but I'm worried about the sporadic lighting on them and low ventilation but at least then the co2 would stay on them better after I blow on them.
I want to get a hps light for them but I think it will be too much for the alternator. Is there something I can get that would work on an inverter I could get at home depot? Stupid grow store won't sell to me because there 5 O. Thanks!

I'm not sure this is going to work, I'm going to try to get by with what I have for now.

I'm ruined!!!!!! I just have one plant left and she is a little sickly... I think I was being followed and I went around a corner too fast and tipped everything. I stuck the broken stems back in the soil hoping they will root again but there turning yellow and wilting. I think I am going to have to transpant the one I have left outdoors or get a roomate who will take the some of the buds I get as payment. I have to find a way to keep it warm outdoors because it's still a little frosty out in the mornings. Any ideas??!? Thanks!

I would suggest finding materials to make a "green house" like area for your plants.

If you are mechanically and electronically inclined there may be a solution for you.

*some* body shops will give or trade away damaged HID headlight units. One or two 30watt HID lamps from an OEM application, with about 4100K would give you significant lighting without being an overwhelming drain on your limited electrical capabilities. Seeing as it could be wiring directly to your 12v system you wouldn't loose efficiency to the inverter and your plants would appreciate the powerful light.

You will need to source both the lamp and the ballast. Try to only get something from an OEM application, the cheap ebay kits will only let you down.

I've been there... Hard times in the vehicle. Don't try to grow pot now...
Try and get yourself a suitable place to crash first. It's cold this time of year, I wish you well. Merry Christmas.

Dude while your living in your vehicle its not too wise to attempt this. What if you get pulled over or scoped out because your sleeping in the van? You could get locked up and lose the Van to impound lot. I would suggest buying weed for now so you can hide it. Not sure what your situation is but maybe you can just apologize to the ol lady and move back in or find a parking lot with huge lights and back right up to one of them puppies so you catch the light just right.Have a good xmas man, hang in there

dude, walmart lets people sleep there for free in the parking lot because when they wake up they go in and buy shit. SLeep at wallyworld, and grow outside somewhere. when a cop comes up in the morning to check out this hippy van thats illegally parked overnight theyll look in the window and your fucked. not worth it for shwag

Hey sorry I've been gone everyone... growing in a van DOES NOT WORK... I didn't think it would but I was just fed up with finding human and pet hair in my bags... but I'm in nor cal now and have a job doing some trimming and odd jobs and the future is looking bright I think things have been turning with the economy...
The plan wasn't to flower in the van of course I was going to transplant but after a couple rough rides the plants just wouldn't perk up... I don't know what I was thinking I've seen compact stealth grows and figured I had all the right ingredients... I wasn't sleeping much but now I'm like a new man and just got busy when things turned around...
If someone needed a mobile opp you need to secure power I could never find a safe reliable place to get some juice and it was costing too much in gas trying to use the inverter.

It's kinda possible, i've seen a old ambulance turned into grow somewhere but I think it was plugged in. I hope your not in the low profile van in your pic, if so you my as well just drive to the police station and ask if you can run your extention cord to their power supply, jk dude. Also, I'd be careful asking for a jump. I've heard of labs on wheels, but not grow on wheels. Good luck ya bud, also wouldn't the plants bes stressed driving at night from headlights etcc?

crazy ass idea
