Various Spectrum High Efficiency LED

So I've read various posts across the forums of various people using specific spectrums to perform specific functions, however, I have not seen much of if any part numbers or manufacturer information

if anyone is interested in sharing this information would be highly appreciated by all some of the wavelength LED's I think everyone will be looking for are..

305nm ( or something that's within a reasonable range )
370nm ( or something that's within a reasonable range )
643nm ( or something that's within a reasonable range )
630nm ( or something that's within a reasonable range )
660nm ( or something that's within a reasonable range )
730nm ( or something that's within a reasonable range )

i think hes politely trying to tell you to crack a book before you spend a bunch of loot on stuff you dont need

Cobkits im not spending any money just mainly doing research at this point ive read some various posts from few people one was a grow journal on 5000k COB Leds by The Dawg, and he 660/730nm LEDS at various times of the day to reduce flowering time, and as a flowering trigger i guess you could say.. I was going to buy similar LED's and perhaps build one and try it

well there are chips but you dont want those. you want a chip (or chips) on a board and those are often sold as "stars" some are solderless

you dont want to chase part numbers too much but i advise you to get a handle on binning/flux so you can make informed decisions between different mfr's offerings

660 is just supplemental you may or may not need this if your cob provides it

450 is useful for shortening nodes

below 450 youre talking mostly UV and fluorescent is better than LED for this

i could give you 100 part numbers but unless youre an expert bench solderer (im sure not) they would be useless

those star assemblies are what you want. poke around those sites for different colors

yeah i miss SDS, and supra, and GG, and the others who have moved on. thats why its our duty to pay forward what we have learned and count our blessings that some of those OG smartpantses like alesh and robin and stephen (and yourself of course) are still even around

of course while I appreciate the mention...I am just a student of all you mentioned but for a while I feel like a cranky old person yelling at the kids to get off my lawn...

To the real deals: [of course you are included] I try to be respectful and listen and yaddah yaddah and I wasn't the other day, very hypocritical to say the least. Its a shit tactic. I realize it. I still haven't answered the question, because it as a tough one and I enjoy being Very conservative when making a conclusion based on eyeball observation.

I am also of a different skin, then some of the other wonderful growers around here. I am trying for ultimate medicinal output over and kind of quantity. I am running constant cuts that lean 50% towards skunk and skunk x's and the other towards fast finishing skunk/indica hybrids leaning towards Fruit and OG.

Nothing is ever the same really because I am constantly breeding and running mother cuts to see what I like. It gets exhausting, but I am leaning towards a real "red" leaning spectrum for a wide gamut of "cultivars"....I leaned towards 4k for sativa's initially and think they like the red leaning, at least in terms of quantity without degrading anecdotal quality.

I am still working on complete Terpine profile testing. That to me is a real tie- in for differentiating even between light sources. Maybe quantifiable enough for even Kelvin temps, not something I am totally well read on, at this moment, unfortunately.....For me it is a real pain the ass to get even a few samples done, let a batch of 10 every week like I would like to do @$600 Total + 1/8th per sample.

Big growers would laugh their asses off that price, but that is almost my yearly budget. I don't need much of the fancy's.

Well it's not like you can't have them solderedboth Cutter and led-tech were very helpful

@Ben-Ben Cree XP-E, XP-E2 and Osram Oslon SSL are probably best choices.

Come on guys, bust out the soldering iron and get to experimenting

@CobKits pass on the part numbers I love soldering lol, I've got all sorts of soldering equipment needing a reason to be used lol.

most of the star links in my post above require soldering. i think you need a reflow machine to solder individual diodes but i may be wrong
