hi, i would like to see if my grow could be done b4 middle august.

im using cfls. i know u can just use flower (2700k) straight away from seed an grow like that.

i have used 2x125w 6400k cfls for 4 days. starting to see some sprouts etc etc and its goin normal.

what would happen if i switch to 12/12 with 4x125w 2700k cfls? would they still grow as well or would i get problems just as too much light or anything like that.

2700k is just the spectrum of the lights not lumens. that means they emit red light for flowering.

yes you can flower them right away. i have a buddy that does his after about 3 nodes and goes 12/12. you end up with a plant about a foot or so and a solid cola bud.for cfl`s my opinion is thats the way to go. you can put more plants under same amount of light. they stay short, so it`s beneficial with lacking lumens

so all my plants are under 2x125 6400k cfls atm. can i add the other 4 2700k ones as well and run all 6? or just better using the 4 flowering ones?

how long would u expect these plants to finish? there 4 days old atm but growing quite fast. not givin them any ntues or anythin atm. all going well.

think i could get it done in a month? imo i highly doubt it. i need some way of 'nuking' them

edit: infact. if i did only manage to flower for 7 weeks, would the bud of matured enough in THC? so i can atleast dry them out and smoke some?

Do you get combined lumens with 4 cfls? And i thought lights put out lumens over sqaure ft not the actual lumens over a whole area.

for flowering them ya i would use all your bulbs. i use a 430 watt hps, the extra 30 watts gives me 30% more veg spectrum and it works great.
as far as how long it will take that depends on the strain. just because you start flowering sooner it wont change the amount of time required to flower, it just makes for a faster veg and that means faster turn around. i believe my buddy does about 7 crops per year with about 20 plants each time under cfl`s. not sure on the wattage or how many. i can post some of his info here if you would like

your correct there. you cant add up total lumens of all bulbs and thats what you have. it only covers a certain square footage.

hmm, im just thinking. i have 3 diff strains under lights atm. if u just 'nuke em' with all the lights ive got it might work.

will they show sex earlier? and obviously they are going to still veg (grow) and flower(bud) at the same time?

like i said the flower time dosen`t change ( or when it shows hairs) even when flowering the same strain they finish different. but should be roughly the same. as long as they are all sativa (longer) or indica ( shorter flower time) it should be pretty even

So whats the advantage of people using all these cfls 6x42w etc when the lumens arent adding? Maybe they could use just one of those cfls and get the same results?

depends on placement even 1 plant. if you place the cfl`s at different hights and positions around the plants you will get more bud at a lower level on the plant. when using multiple cfl`s there will be some overlap of the lumens depending on placement, so the more bulbs the more overlap the more lumens in that specified erea
