Veg outdoor - Flower in

Hi All-- This is my first grow. 2 plants have been vegging out on the deck since sprouting. I'm going to have to flower them in a grow cab though. I am confident in the cab, thanks to many of you, and will be providing 60 watts/sq ft hps. What I'm wondering is: How will my girls react, if at all, to the lighting change and if there's any precautions I should take. Thanks.

i was thinking of doing the same thing, since im letting my plant veg on the roof, and wouldn't want it to flower on the roof cause it'd be really noticable.

Well are you 100% that they are girls? But the plants should probably be fine. What is the wattage of your HPS? Make sure you don't take any bugs from outside into your cab, that would be very bad. But just all the basic precautions: Keeps the plants far enough away from the bulb (18-22in i believe), water, proper nutrients and you should be a happy smoker in a few months!

nikka-- I LST'd my plants from tips I learned on this site. From a distance they are barely noticeable, low and bushy. Mix in a couple pots of geraniums and you're well disguised. My prob is I'm going to have some work done on the house.

royalnut-- Pretty sure they're she based on pics I've studied. I'll be using a 250 w the agro bulb. I was thinking about transitioning them into the cab. 2 days 2 hrs, 2 days 4 hrs, 2 days hrs, then all cab 12/12. Thanks

becareful with your transitioning, if they go into flower on there own in the process of doing this i'd just leave them in the cab for 12/12 as to not cause hermi's, or you could try a Dark Period, I did this last grow gives them that extra stretch, you see a weeks worth of growth when the lights come back on. Oh and it speeds up the sexing if your plants arent already sexed. What you do is give them their first dose of Flowering nutes, then keep em in DARK DARK for 18-36 hours, then straight to 12/12.

skatterman420-- Thanks. I probably wasn't clear, I meant to mean that I would start the 12/12 immediately but it would be 2 hrs artificial light and remainder natural light for 2 days and so on. Easing them into the artificial light environment. I've also read of gradually reducing the light period over a week or so. I'm trying to hit on the least stressful circumstances. I've only got 2, not very experienced at that, and pot isn't accepted in my social circle and therefore hard to come by. If I lost these plants I might go into a minor state of depression :)
