veg scrog: underlighting?

Hello! I've moved a vegging plant into a scrog just now, and am going to veg for another couple of weeks. I have many leaves in the shade, underneath a thick canopy. I've added some e27 led's pointing up from underneath, which are keeping it all well lit.
This need may be a result of me previously vegging it with these side lights, so it had a lot of lower foliage.
Suggest and discuss pros and cons?

e.g. Will branches start growing downwards, never reaching up into the canopy, and I'll become stuck using side lighting forever? Will this defeat the purpose of my scrog at all?

The leaves under the canopy that weren't getting light from above are turned so that their topsides are getting plenty of light from this side/underlighting :)
Good suggestion though

Hmm yes, that's a major player here.
The canopy is already about two feet off the ground, and I have an oscillating 30cm fan in a corner down there.
There is a lot of lower airflow, but if I am building up a super duper thick canopy, with a lower layer too, I might be guaranteeing an area of low airflow between the upper and lower canopies. Hmmmmmm :)
