Veg Tent Setup - 2x4x5

So I'm faced with a dilemma.
I grew out a bunch of different strains thinking I'd weed out the ones I didn't like. Problem is, I like the way all of them are growing

These two big ones are probably gonna get thrown into flower within the new two weeks.

A little explanation of exactly what's going on here, skip if you don't like to read:

Starting from the top left -
Critical Kush clone - Was growing very tall with strong branches and huge leaves, I believe this one had over 14 inches of roots when I transplanted from the cloner.
Supercropped the main branch just to see what would happen otherwise it's pretty much untrained from clone.

On the top right
Another CK clone - Fimmed twice on every node and supercropped to keep an even canopy, no real defoliation done to it yet. A lot of thinner branches and a lot of tops.

The one that has dark fan leaves is my failed attempt at manifolding, it's actually trying to grow 4 tops from where I topped it.
Solo cup - Ace Purple Haze x Malawi, it took a couple days longer than the others to show it's face and is growing slower than the others despite being planted at the same time. Maybe its a landrace sativa thing? Maybe it's a runt. I have 2 more seeds so I'm not too worried.

Just north of the solo is the Big Bud x White Widow

To the right is the Crystal Meth, I think it's sativa dominant? Still trying to get to know the differences. That plant was a dr underground freebie with an unattractive name but I really like the way it's growing. It's Destroyer (cannabiogen) X Critical Mass

To the left of that is King Kong, I know all these directions are confusing the tent is kind of a mess right now. I have more King Kong seeds so I might just take cuttings of this one if I like it and get rid of it, or put it into an early flower.

At the bottom of the pic is the Ayahuasca Purple. I'm really hopeful for that one as well.

The neglected plant to the bottom right is another CK clone, it's been fed just tap and filtered water, the yellowing is probably N deficiency? It was supercropped like a 4 leaf clover, I think this method of training is cool but I don't think I'd use it again. Too early to really say that though.

Oh also out of the picture in the corner is a Blue Diesel Auto growing in a 3 gallon pot, still a seedling

SO TO SUMMARIZE

I have way too many plants
3 CK clones, Big bud x white widow, Crystal METH, Purple Haze x Malawi, King Kong, Ayahausahhschahshcha purple, and a random bagseed

Part of the beauty of growing is you can do whatever you want, right? Since I'm new to this and haven't even had a harvest yet, I'd say I'm very inexperienced and I've just been testing out different methods and training to see what I like best.
So far I prefer fimming to topping, I have this weird thing about supercropping, oh and I plan to try and make the neglected plant grow into a sort of spiral shape. Will it work? Probably, but I gotta fix the deficiencies first.

So basically it's a shitshow right now and I gotta cull the heard. I might just take cuttings of all but two of the small plants and save those for a future grow, when I have room in the tent. By the looks of it my 4x4 is gonna be crowded too.

Not sure how I feel about these fabric pots, so far they've been working and they work fine, but the sides always leak water and I have concerns for mold or other undesired bacterial growth.

Sorry to all the professionals if I hurt your eyes :spew:

Sidenote: With the increased foliage it is much easier to keep a better humidity level. Still 40% but it doesn't dip below that even with humidifier off. Humidistat in humidifier is still broken, I was hoping it'd fix itself. Nighttime humidity is still a problem so I've just been leaving it off. Fuckin Walmart.

In regards to your fabric pots they are meant to leak, it allows you to water through and dispose of excess water to avoid root rot and also allows the plants rooms to breathe and avoid being water logged. Just wash the pots well with water between uses. get little “carpet plant trays” to out ubderbeatg you’re suppose to catch the excess water and dispose of it instead of it sitting at the bottom of the tent. Also if you raise your humidity to 50% you’ll see a great reduction in heat. As long as you sre still vegging you can even take this up to 60%, ice in the humidifer tray can temporalily reduce heat. Once you hit flower you can keep humidity at about 45% (55+ starts to cause mold issues). Also jn regards to the mold issues, if your humidity is below 60% temps below 27 and you have airflow in the tent no mold should form anywhere until flower, then you have to lower or mold will form on budsites as they retain and produce while growing and will
Leave you with mold

Also what I would do in your shoes is mass defoliation of all the plants, force top growth and just aim for maincola or two from each plant, kill most of the other budsites. Still get your strain variety, healthy plants but a lower yield.

Also if you use a timer for your lights use it for your humidifer, have it go to sleep with the lights

I actually did manifolding to them, taking a couple clones with them.

Wish I could, my hundifier doesn't have an auto restart.

Mine doesn't either, i just leave it on at a set level(have 4 levels) and plug it into a light timer, power restarts it for you
That's the thing, I tried to have it on a timer but it doesn't turn back on when the power turns on. Figures, right? I opted for lower humidity, 30-40 percent during the day and a mist level of 2. Not ideal, but until I get a new humidifier with this feature it's what I have to deal with.

So I started to mainline the smaller plants, two of which probably could have grown another node but that just means it's gonna take longer to recover, which is okay I need the extra time. King kong in the back is a quick grower, for reference it was started at the same time as the plant to the right of it with the tape on it. I'm thinking 8 strong colas for each will work out, and the mainfolding will help me have better control over my grow space without sacrificing too much yield.

Here's the baby Purple Haze x Malawi, took I want to say, 4 days or so longer than the others to break ground.

Ten days since my last update.

Auto blue diesel is growing fast and healthy
All the other strains seem healthy
PH x Malawi is recovering from yesterday's transplant. The straight sativa grows differently from all the others.
You can see the clones taking up space in the corners. Haven't even counted the tops but I'd guess at least 16 on the big one.

Manifolding is progessing nicely, the one in the back is King Kong, and the leaf structure and vigorous growth appeal to me, it's early to tell but I think I'm gonna keep this one.

8 Days since the last update

Cleared some room in the veg tent
Big clone on the far left corner was put into flower yesterday
Other clone is sitting on the counter while I figure out what to do with her

Autoflower is growing quickly, recovered almost immediately from fimming and has already started shooting pistils

Manifolding completed on all of them, topped to the 3rd node and the ties were taken off. I will probably tie them back down to spread things out more evenly and allow for more light, especially for the straight Indica.

An attempt to show the flatness of the manifolding, the dead leaves are from moving the clones yesterday which suffered issues and not from one of the main plants in this grow.

20190304_153110.jpg The little auto, this one was planted after all the other ones and has been fimmed, today I pinched the stem a little. Attempting to do as little training as possible on my first auto but I just can't help myself

Humidistat in the humidifier is STILL broken -_-

Once they have more in stock I'll be replacing the 600W MH with 4x QB120 Quantum boards with a 240 Watt driver, energy costs here are getting to me.
My growth on the DWC has been great with the QBs, the fact that it's hydro helps but from what I understand the node spacing and penetration is ideal.
